Bit harsh on Ephraim, AH. Think he deserves a bit more credit for his link up with Wiggins. He was prepared to cover should Rhoys push on further than him. I think a 6 would be fair.

Hamer - 6. Nothing much to do.. good stop from range is the only thing I can think of.
Solly - 5. Not often you see him struggle against an opponent. Oldham's joy generally came down their left.
Morro - 7. Good attacking threat and thought he did a job against Kuqi.
Taylor - 6. He lets morro take control and likes to sit back a bit more and tidy up.
    Wiggins - 8. Superb.
Green - 6.5. Had his moments where he looked particularly dangerous. I liked that he seemed fired up, just needs to control his temper.
Russell - 6. Maybe a point for the goal, a ''steady Eddie''. We seriously miss Stephens creativity.
Hollands - 6. I like his link up play with whoever is around him. Since Russell has joined he doesn't appear to be getting forward as much though.
Kermo - 8. Mentioned earlier, 3rd or 4th game in a row he has been MOM.
BWP - 6.5. Tried, just wasn't his day.

There was a chance of adding 2,000 to most home games for rest of season but with that performance I think we could have taken 2,000 off.

Another game he would have scored 2 and people would have rated him a 9. It'll come for him - and the team. Still 5 points clear so still belive.

So did I but he didn't get that many or much link up play and his last goal against Brentford won the game and 3 points. It's very harsh when he's trying incredibly hard and you'd expect goals from midfield as well, that's where JJ always steps in. Oldham weren't poor, they've stuck to a style of play which worked for them and all credit to them for getting a point. Most people could see the pressure from them right up until the end and they deserved it, interesting their sub came on and scored. Seeing out the game to the end reminds me of last season. Dickov got his tactics right there whereas CP waited too long to bring on the subs and he should've named Hughes on the bench, a capable defensive midfielder, can't understand why he wasn't included.

Both this week and last week at walsall we've been a bit one dimensional and predictable, today every long ball was aimed at kermit, and with BWP being a bit off the pace and not picking up the second ball, we didn't carry enough threat up front. We seem to be taking too many long throws as well.

I thought Russell did reasonably well, Hogan was less effective.

What we need is a Plan B, an alternative system to provide a different threat when Plan A is struggling, as clearing teams are going to sit deep against us.

Great win for Preston at MK though, a real bonus!

We aren't at our best- but are still picking up points.

Another striker in Jan and perhaps a more creative CM if Stephens injury is keeping him out longer than first thought. Add that with JJ coming back and it won't be long before we're scoring 12 in 3 games again ;)

First game for a while, just a few random thoughts:

Wiggins MOM for skill, on a number of occasions he looked stuck in the LB position with the ball and a player hustling him, but he managed to wriggle his way out spectacularly.

Kermorgant worked his nuts off too, but it just didn't work out between he and BWP. At times you get the impression that he is one step ahead of even our own players. The only problem with him, which is not his fault, is that his heading ability means we all too often resort to long balls, when we are capable of slicing teams apart when we play the ball around on the floor.

I don't believe Russell of Ephraim add anything to what we already have, would have preferred Pritchard today, and we really need Jackson back.

We still need to work out how to overcome teams like Oldham and Tranmere if we are to get promotion.

We've always struggled against 'method' teams Captain B, and there are a lot in this division - no stars, no great attacking flair but neat, disciplined, methodical football - they play Game Plan A at home and Game Plan B away.

We're playing a run of three in a row with Yeovil coming up on Boxing Day and provided we can grind out at least a point there, we then have a run of teams who we know are going to come at us (Orient, Brentford and the two Sheffields) and it seems to me that we display our best side when we're up against opponents of this type. These four fixtures don't concern me half as much as the subsequent three against Exeter, Bury and Rochdale.

As for working these teams out, frustration breeds hoofball, which tends to play right into their hands - look at the amount of balls the Walsall centre backs picked out of the air, for instance.

Keep it on the ground, keep playing to feet, keep calm and I'm convinced the method teams will collapse like a house of cards.

I don't think they "need a rest". Just some more hard work on the training pitch.

2 draws aren't going to concern me.
