So do I. Got a feeling it'll be a scrappy 2-1 to them.

Just call me nostradamus...

Really poor performance tbh. Not sure we had a shot on target second half bar the goal.

That second was such a poor goal to concede, especially after getting a lifeline out of nowhere basically. I'll need to see it again but I reckon there was 3-4 big errors leading to it.

Knew as soon as it happened it'd finish 2-1.

Well that was predictable for all the reasons I said I wasn’t confident before the game. We have one way of playing, which is effective so long as all our top players are fit and we are relatively efficient with our shooting. We can’t change a game with personnel, formation or tactical changes during a game. And it’s going to become increasingly easy for teams to work out how to stop us and then we have nothing. Our defending is god awful too, sometimes you need to win a game 0-1, a top team don’t always play well but would have scored the pen and held on or equalised and held on. We’re a long way off winning a game 0-1 when not at our best. We should have enough quality to see us in the play offs by the end of the season, but we’re not close to being a top 2 team. Frustrating.

Can see us doing better against Coventry? Not if we play like that. And knowing the way our injuries / physios work it will turn out that Fellows will be out of that match as well

Can see the game suiting us more. We really struggled against teams that make it super physical & 1 direction (Millwall & today’s game). Coventry will wanna play more & think it’ll be a more open game

I feel it's different to the Millwall game, they were much better than Norwich were today imo, it feels like we let it slip today with poor defending and low energy in the second half.

Yeah, Millwall are right up there. Norwich were bottom of the league on second half’s before today. No sugarcoating this. It’s a **** result and given our poor start under Still, we don’t really have the leeway to be slipping up against poor teams.

There’s not that much point talking about good teams and bad teams in this division. There’s basically f*ck all difference between the lot of them. 90% of the division play the same style of bloody football. If we can’t learn to deal with it then we don’t deserve to finish in the top 6.

Injuries and suspensions are irrelevant too. If Sargent is out, then some other lump of a donkey comes in. Whoever it is, Wood will fail to deal with them. I swear, you watch every goal we concede from a cross, and Wood is half a yard behind the goal scorer.

Like Millwall today was another example where a big ****ing lump is exactly what we needed. Someone who offers something a bit different.

Yeah, attack is the first line of defence, and if you have no outlet, then you’re basically a bit f*cked as soon as the opposition starts pressing and playing a high defensive line.

if you have no lump, then at least pack the midfield so you can dominate the middle of the pitch.

Don’t want to call it arrogance, but we are definitely not savvy enough in these situations.

SaintsWeb has a poll on January transfer priority. Predictably goalkeeper and striker are top. But given who we have on the books I just don’t see significant movement. Maybe a loan for a goalkeeper who can actually challenge Bazunu (rumour of a Bayern reserve whose loan might be cancelled). That’s what we should have done in the first place. The idea of loaning a 3rd choice GK was always madness

But maybe where we should actually try and look is central defense? We were rumoured to be linked with a Sheffield United Central defender in the summer and everyone found that strange given how many we have on the books. He went to Feyenoord for over 15m so that was probably always a non starter

But our defenders are awful and most importantly can’t seem to cope in a flat back 4. And it feels like our best system once everyone is fit would be a 4-2-3-1 with the 3 being Fellows, Azaz and Scienza. But we don’t have fit right backs and the central defenders just make it seem like that would be a disaster.

It’s interesting that Wood seems to always get in and when we switch it up it’s between Stephens and Quarshie. He was awful today in nearly every aspect of the game. He stayed on as well

That was like being back under Still. So, so bad.

I don't care that Fraser thinks he can play RWB - he really, really can't. The difference between him and Fellows is enormous. And if you don't have two functioning WBs, then playing three CBs just does not work. It was awful. And Robinson was no better.

But Norwich were good.
Yes agree on your comments. Additionally, I didn’t see any character, leadership out there today. It’s definitely a feature missing from our game.
