... starts this weekend when we find out who our Third Round opponents will be.

With the squad we have, the position we're in and the need to keep everyone involved I think we can give this a real go.

There are some interesting possibilities, playing in the second round, and others we could be drawn against.

My choice would be Buxton or Weston-super-Mare at the SOL, it can't always be Newcastle who get the cushy draws.

There are plenty of old lower league adversaries we could play as well and some who'd love a crack at us like Sheff Utd, Coventry and Luton ...

... teams from our past who are probably still seething <laugh>

The draw is set for Monday, December 8th

I’ve got a feeling about the FA Cup this year. We could be a match for any team. A bit of luck with the draw and our Til The End mentality could see us in round 6 before we know it, then it’s a dog fight and let’s face it we can fight like the best of them !

Funny enough, I have a good feeling about the FA Cup this season as well.

For the first time in a long time, there will be more clubs worried about drawing us, than we are about drawing them.

I'm hoping for a nice home draw, would have loved Shields, Hartlepool or Harrogate before they went out, someone who'd have appreciated playing us at the SOL and brought a few up for a day out.

Mansfield, Barnsley and Wigan all win and we'd get good allocations from them ...

... Luton lost at Fleetwood which is quite funny.

Having said that Weston-s-Mare would be my choice, a nice day out for them and through to the 4th round.

It seems Sunderland are ball number 37 so that confirms we’re winning the Cup <laugh>

John Marquis scored for Shrewsbury v Sutton
I’m sure we were linked with him in those dark days <laugh>
