My question was why governments pander to it rather than call it out for the sham it clearly is.

Even your googled bullshit shows that islam is clearly not the infallible word of a god which is a core claim of it as a religion, so it's not even worth ripping your crap to bits.

The issue you're trying to shift it from, is why government's pander to blatant bullshit when they claim to be clamping down on misinformation.
