Things happen.’

OMG, the President of the United States just said that about a journalist who was lured to an ambush and murdered <doh>

Don't have to embarrass our guest aswell? Coming from that whopper? Didn't he sit smuggly smirking when Vance asked why Zelenskyy hadn't thanked him and he didn't say a word to a journalist asking why Zelenskyy didn’t wear a suit! He creamed his pants at them showing dominance!

The Saudis though who he clearly wants something from (not ideas what that greedy ****er could want from a cash rich state?) He jumps to their defence!

Hypocrisy at its finest! That's without considering the subject matter and these things happen!

The irony with all of this is quite intriguing.

Everyone knows, for an absolute fact, that the Saudi state owns NUFC, there's no question. Another fact is that they own the club for the sole purpose of painting their barbaric Islamic regime in a more acceptable way, it has nothing to do with the love of football nor do they have a love of golf, tennis or boxing, just not in their culture let's be honest.

Yet, despite the amount of time, effort and money they put in, the Saudi state can’t take the credit for Newcastle. That’s because we’re all expected to believe the actual owners are actually a group of hard working individuals who form an investment group. These industrious Arab souls are simply striving to make a football club, in the far NE of England, successful and honourable.

The Newcastle supporters exist in a state of permanent denial because, despite never seeing them, they have to pretend ‘their owners’ are bankers and financiers who definitely aren’t puppets of the Saudi state … definitely not, no way, no siree!

It’s all a huge clanging metaphor for the world it’s become. Our life, and in this case a football club, is controlled by fanatical lying egomaniacs who seek to further their own interests with scant regard for the very people they claim to serve. But I think we’re fast approaching a point whereby even the most avid followers of Trump, Boris, Musk, Farage, Saudi, etc, are starting to wonder just how much they’re being manipulated and how stupid they look.

It’s becoming increasingly scary and surreal …

… like AI gone mad, you can no longer believe in what’s before your eyes.

Then dismembered with bone saws and smuggled back out in suitcases. Yeah great bunch of lads.
How any journalist can blow sunshine up their backsides is beyond me but calling Craig no Hope and the one who bubbled on from Sky (his name escapes me but for his career he has been trying to get into our good books recently) journalists is a canny stretch.

there is a site that said we could go to 85,000 but way too big 55,000 next season then 63,000 i reckon and built like Real madrid's ground

But but but they sell out every home game - how can this be possible?????

We have to remember that not all the Mags are idiotic tea-towel wearing apologists.

There are thousands of decent supporters who are uneasy about the Saudi state and quietly embarrassed.

They know what people think of them.

Of course there are those who beat their chests and pretend but, deep down, they know it's all fake.

I know Mags who no longer bother with any happy banter because there's always a sword of Damacles hanging over every discussion ...

... it's all very sad and has ruined a derby that was once one of the best in world football.

Sky and the other media will cover the derbies but they know how fake it's now become and who actually owns NUFC.

All very sad and decades of history thrown under the bus.

I agree with most. However, I know a couple of mags, generally sound and decent people, who I would have thought would have been against the takeover given yhe Saudis appalling human rights record but their stance has been there are just as bad owners at other clubs and if it brings us success so be it. Sadly any morals out the pram.

Whilst we all would like to support a successful football team it will be interesting to hear their viewpoint as and when the Saudis become bored of their play thing as it is becoming increasingly difficult to just bankroll success.

What other choice do they have but to pretend mate …

… it’s like choosing whether or not to divorce your wife because she kissed an Arab.

Even at this moment in time, I would still rather support Sheff Wed than Newcastle.
