they should change the rule so that every car starts full, none of this under filling crap

If Max wins it from here, be one of the best comebacks ever or definitely in my lifetime.
I believe, after the last race FIA discovered that most teams have been heating the skid blocks to reduce wear on them and the plank. So I think this is the first race that the heaters have been banned!!!
It also seems that McLaren have some way of dynamically measuring the skid block heights and that's why Lando was told to 'lift and coast' to reduce the wear on the skid blocks at the end of the straights! Looks like that didn't work!
Sets up the last 2 races and sprint to be reasonably exciting.
Bit more info on heating skid blocks: https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-news/1...llegal-skid-block-trick-at-multiple-f1-teams/If the first bit is true , then that stinks . Why ban it ?
The synical part of me knows why .
If the second part is true , was Oscar told the same ?

Seems like it was stopped between Sprint and race quali in Brazil!
Sounds like Oscar had a fair bit of DRS so not as much downforce on the straights, so they thought not as much wear but, if they did have a measuring system then that failed to detect too much wear on both cars!!!
0.06 looked red and he hadn't crossed the line. You must log in or register to see media
Was this shown on the main feed?
I don’t want to kick a man when he’s down, but after the discussion we had about Elkann and whether he was out of line, when I see something like this I do feel like I see where he’s coming from.
0.06 looked red and he hadn't crossed the line.
He's still in the grid slots, unless they have the S/F line somewhere other than where pole sits for some weird reason, he hasn't crossed the line.Isn’t the line where the video pauses? If it’s the second line after it goes red, he would have been shown the checkered flag.

So the race was actually 49 and a bit laps?I was sure when I’d watched quali that he’d made it over the line to be able to have one last lap, so I went hunting for the track layout and as you say the front of the grid isn’t where the start finish line is.
