I of course want saints to win today.

But if we don’t, I think weirdly I’d prefer us to lose than draw
- more likely to force a manager decision
- more reason to ditch the back 5
- Nathan Jones post match will be hilarious

I can see us losing Matsuki at this rate. Doesn’t even get minutes for the u21s.

A draw would be a decent result today, regardless of who our manager is.

But, level of performance would come into it. Play well and draw, fine. Play badly and draw, doesn’t bode well.

I'm not sure I follow why we would choose today's game as the one for managing Flynn's minutes.

Firstly, we've just had a two week break. Secondly, the Leicester game in midweek is the one which is close to both today and next weekend. Thirdly, by this time next weekend, Romeu will have had a weeks training and there are suggestions that Charles might be available again. Fourthly, Flynn is actually available today; there's no guarantee that will still be the case come Tuesday or next weekend.

It's not like today should be an easy three points and so we can afford to rest players for what is ahead.

Start him today would have been my choice, and if that means him not being able to start against either Leicester or Millwall, then so be it.

You wonder if there’s more to it with him. Too many flags…

Yeah I struggle with Flynn. Feels like he’d break a nail or have a particularly powerful sneeze and that would be a reason for him to sack off a few games. Might be unfair, but the impression is he has a big ego, and never really wanted to be here beyond the loan, but settled for it probably just for his best mate Russ, and as soon as things started not going his way he threw his toys out.

Our games are always the one left off of Sky Q, nuisance.

Having to watch in teeny tiny vision on the sky sports news app on my phone.

Good start though.
