How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

So the hysteria over immigration, played on by the flag shagging Tommy Robinson types spreading paranoia and fear about terrorists, has in an unsurprisingly ironic twist, bred more home grown terrorists than those it says it's rallying against.

Who'd have thunk it

'The stark new statistics from the government's own Prevent programme deliver an undeniable truth: the most significant terrorist threat reported by the British public now wears a Union Jack. For the first time, referrals for far-right extremism have decisively overtaken those for Islamist ideology, exposing a homegrown danger that is festering in plain sight.'

Probably missing something but what's going abroad got to do with child benefit?

Do agree with your overall point though.

Read an article yesterday (from 31st Oct), that made me think back to this conversation. Couldn't remember it was you that asked about it mind. This is also not the first story I've read where the child benefit has been wrongly stopped. Seems the government snoops didn't do their homework properly when spying on people's travel arrangements...

Ben Maguire Liberal MP for Port Isaac Cornwall, just said Labour can't keep blaming the Tories, they've had 15 months to get a grip on this prison crisis. <laugh>

Cornwall though, probably left his tractor out of camera shot...

Always classed myself as open minded and non-prejudicial when it comes to an individual's sexual and gender orientation... - live and let live ...

... but this latest draconian insistence on universal inclusivity with initiatives like 'pregnant people' and 'chest feeding' is just riduculous, unnecessary, woke nonsense IMHO...

AT LAST

I genuinely am shocked at the BBC doing this...

https://www.lbc.co.uk/article/trump-rages-against-bbc-5HjdGWt_2/

I always thought it was just bullshit people spun against media sources they don't like, whether it be left or right wing, I seriously never believed they actually did **** like this. It makes me wonder now, how much **** did the BBC also make up about the IDF during the Israel/Hamas war.

I pay my tv licence because that's the legal requirement to do so, now I just feel a gullible fool for doing so. Afterall this isn't just a minor alteration it's a massive alteration and the wording the BBC used was probably the most memorable and inciteful wording during the riots.

Time to defund these ****s.

I had a look to see if there was a legal way of avoiding paying the BBC, but apparently not because it's written in law that if you watch any live TV, regardless of channel you have to pay it.

Don’t watch any live TV then, I hardly ever do anyway. Still pay my license fee though.

Although weren’t Gillingham on telly the other day?

I think I'd read somewhere that you need a TV licence even if you watch live TV from other sources like Sky, ITV, Amazon prime ?

Not sure how that can be justified tbh ? Surely if you pay for Amazon Prime, then you're entitled to watch their live streams regardless of whether you're paying for a TV licence

Trouble is football is live tv, I get it if I want to watch live football on BBC (which is rare these days) I have to pay for it, but don't see why that law also applies to ITV and SKY. Unless I'm misunderstanding the rules.

At the moment I subscribe to DAZN, SKY and Amazon Prime, I pay for what I want, I don't need the BBC but still have to pay for it.

Gills would have been on SKY.

Some **** in Rochester went and removed all the large poppies the schools and scouts had put up. I thought who the **** would do something like that. I'm talking the huge poppies, not something you could wear lol.
