I dont like to instantly react. I can be a bit over excited.

I think Ballards performance tonight is as good as anything I have seen by a Sunderland player in maybe 15 years. It was just so good. Three huge moments, but take those out and he was the lynchpin that locked Mukiele and Geertruide together. He has produced a level I didnt think was possible 2 seasons ago. Take a bow son.

Whole team, class. Might get the malt out.

I think you must. It’s well deserved

cheers again RTB....

once again this squad delivers, i have watched arsenal a few times and waited for a full game onslaught yet we took the lead and handled most of what they tried to throw at us, there again they are top for a reason, they are a very good squad and play the ball around well and i was just thinking that trossard had not had his regular shot yet (the bassa).

pretty sure the commentators said this was the hardest game of the season for arsenal once or twice and i have to agree with them, only conceded three goals all season, 812 minutes without a goal against them...then they come to sunderland and concede two.

not going through the team but couple of points, ballard's goal was scored with the confidence of a 20 goal a season battle hardened number 9 yet the lad is a defender, le fee was having an excellent game until his mistake and then he seemed to just fall away, pleased as feck for brian brobbey as he threw himself towards every chance he could plus at the time of the goal he was being held, pulled back and shoved but his eyes were stuck on the ball.

ref watch, happy enough with him, did a lot of talking and calming down rather than being 'the main man' and throwing cards out and i think he got most right.

my MotM obviously to big dan again with a strong second place to brobbey for his late but essential part in the game.

What an absolute arsehole Keith Downie is, this is his comment on that game ....

"Streetwise, physical, disciplined…never say die. Just a few of the words to describe new-look Sunderland. They are absolutely horrible to play against and have mastered the ugly side of the game perfectly. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again — not many teams will come to The Stadium of Light this season and win. And nobody has yet… Dan Ballard a colossus tonight."
