I don't know how good a crossbow has to be to cause damage or what they cost. His could have been a second-hand grown-up one maybe? What a sad man. He will get a very long sentence and rightly so, but I read that the crossbow he bought online was £35. I am thinking kiddies toy

Worryingly it’s a bestsellerYes maybe. A bit worrying if you can get a real, dangerous one for that price.

Conversely, let bad things happen in order to THEN ban things and introduce overreaching legislation.I still remember Prince Charles getting ridiculed after the Dunblane shooting, he was speaking in opposition to the proposed ban on handguns. He said something like if the baddies can't get hold of a gun they will just find something else to use as a weapon like a (he paused for thought) cricket bat. His point being it's not the item that's dangerous but the person using it.
We can't just keep on banning things and let dangerous people walk the streets.
