Really? I'd say it's a position we need very much. Downes is as much use as a chocolate fireguard and Jander isn't really a proper DM.

In the grand scheme of the club, its probably behind striker and goalkeeper at least (and maybe a commanding CB, I know we have loads of them but they arent really good enough). But I had forgotten Charles is injured for a considerable amount of time, which makes it more valid.

Downes is still a good player at this level, if you can keep him away from raw food products.

I know a guy whose mate gets bits of Saints info from time to time, which has usually been reliable. Towards the end of the summer he said Romeu might be coming back, but it never happened and I thought nothing of it. Just spoke to him and he said apparently it was lined up for the summer as the club wanted him, but Still didn’t.
