I do think we need to be prepared for him not being the player he was, but mentality-wise it's glorious.
Yeah agreed. I don't think he'll actually play huge amount of minutes but in certain games/situations he can be an asset for sure.
I posed the question on here yesterday that if the club was to recruit a free agent to fill our one remaining squad place (at least until January), then who might it be? I wasn't expecting to get the answer the next day!
Just add him to the coaching staff. He was leggy when he left. He will kick ass! Jander is the same type of player. Knows what he's going to do before he receives the ball.
22 of those were starts so while he clearly will need some time to get his match fitness up, I see no reason why he can't start at least on a weekly basis.
Lot less physical over there and slower paced. I think he could get exposed on the break here. I'm not saying he'll never play but I reckon it'll rarely be 90 minutes and he'll be a sub more often than not.
A Romeu-Jander midfield could be quite useful at points for the rest of the season. Should be really beneficial for Charles and Jander to have Romeu to get advice from as well/learn from in training.
Did Lallana not play a similar amount of games for Brighton the season before coming back here and then never playing. Love Ori of course, but he’s a lot older than he was when he left us. Not expecting too much from him beyond hopefully driving the standards of what it means to be a professional and leading from example when on the pitch.
