Chris Sutton V football manager

The “predicted” score from FM….
Wow - Everton fans

Sutton's prediction: 1-1
FM26's prediction: 0-4
Miles' prediction: Everton have lost their last two games and Sunderland are looking strong at home, but Oliver and Paul Collyer, who are the founders of Sports Interactive, are massive Everton fans and I would not live it down if I went for a Sunderland win. 1-1
AI's prediction: 1-1

A good result against Everton and the match with Arsenal could be first v second, in the Premier league!
Just think about that for a moment….who could have imagined that when we were playing the likes of Walsall, Gillingham Cheltenham and Shrewsbury just a few years ago?

We haven't had a fluke result so far ...

... if we get one against Arsenal that could totally make our season.

Can't wait for Mondays game, the weekend is going to drag.

Could be a tight affair, but we are strong at the back and have real pace to threaten them all over the pitch.

They won't be looking forward to playing us, Isidor and Traore to score in a 2-0 win

I have to be honest Chunks, I’m really looking forward to it.

It’ll be great watching others squirm and I’ll enjoy the various protests around the PL. West Ham are planning organised protests, Wolves will have an impromptu protest and Liverpool fans will demonstrate because the glare from Slot’s head is distracting the players <laugh>

Thats true mate, but it feels like an age since we had a home game and I cant wait for them.

thanks RLB. Feels like a huge opportunity to beat a side that I think we better than man for man. We have home advantage, we’re in better form, and a much better tactician at the helm. Complacency hopefully limited by the experience of Xhaka, Reinildo, Mukiele, Traore and Alderete. Competition to start is quite strong, with the finishers doing well recently and players returning from injury trying to get back in.

No easy games in this league, but if we can win, sets up a potential top of the table clash with Arsenal to be top of the league for the international break. Ha’way the lads.

I keep looking and thinking I can't see any glaring obvious weaknesses or issues that would cause us to completely drop off this form. So can't see any reason why we can't keep on at the top fighting for top 3 even the title! But then I think ffs stop being daft! The part of me that still sees us as the team that struggles etc...

And its throughout our support after the years we have seen, even the decade under Short in the premier league was ****e and mostly pain apart froma couple of seasons. Its the reason why we had a post suggesting someone would snap your hands off for a draw with Everton! Thats something thats gone completely for me! **** snapping hands off for a draw with anyone now! This team isn't likely to be afraid of anyone and will give anyone a go! The Chelsea result showed they can beat anyone imo!

Excellent point you make about drawing games. Ahead of last week I took us to get a draw down at Chelsea and it would still have been a good point.

I did also get to thinking on the morning of the game that we could also be very disciplined and beat them.

After the intial disappointment of conceding early we grew into the game very quickly and were much the better side throughout the game and fully deserved the win.

The mentality of the lads, led so well by Xhaka with a committed set of players alongside him, has led me to think that we aren't going to settle for a point anywhere anymore. The lads think they can beat anyone in this league and they are right.

There will be bumps along the way but this lot are right amongst it and I'd put nothing past them.

Spot on mate, there’s no chance of the players accepting a draw, before kick off, so why should we.

As you say we could’ve just clung on at Chelsea but we didn’t …

… when the ball hit the back of the net we had four players around their box.

That was a collective decision by the players, unbelievable.

My only worry is, they have seemed to have learnt nothing about how to start a game.

Really? We conceded early against Chelsea but didn’t play poorly. Think only match they were poor early on is Man Utd and that was a tactical problem as the subs and changes fixed it and we easily equalled them from then on.

The fact we conceded in under 4 minutes which I predicted before kick off doesn’t really make your point valid.
