Oh I don't want anything to do with RM. He's pissed me off enough this season alone by being so **** that we didn't have time to get Rohl.

Yeah is actually appalling how far we dropped under SR. I’d have them possibly as our worst ever owners.

I get they pumped money into the club, but they almost seem to get every decision wrong.

It's a shame that we'll never know if Cooper would have joined us in the summer.

Once it became clear that Leeds were sticking with Farke, it was between Carrick and Cooper for me in the summer. But now Cooper has a job, that's him off the list.

So much for getting relegated early last season so that we could plan better for this season.

Well yeah, but losing out on Rohl is another SR total balls up. They literally turn everything they touch to ****.

At this stage I’d employ the guy in the Skittles advert who turned everything to Skittles as Manager.

Assuming we were never interested in the summer, as opposed to him not wanting to join us, I wonder if he'd see Saints as an upgrade on Brondby?

You'd think we would pay more and for a confident manager we are a good way of getting a shot in the PL.

Maybe it’s finally time for the perpetually linked to every job Kjetil Knutsen (though why he’d leave Bodo/Glimt in the CL could only be a whacking great load of money).

We are obviously not playing well and Still is not helping himself with tactics, subs etc, but who would SR get to replace him?

That person then needs certain players to fit his system. Rinse and repeat everything that has happened since NJ was signed.

Players being signed during 1 managers reign to suit what he needs only to appoint someone completely different who no longer wants those players. What is the point anymore? It's getting boring.

I said this during NJ reign and during RM reign, I just don't see the point. Managers used to stick around longer, we always did better when they did.

Give Still to the end of the season, sign a striker in January and things will surely improve, there was signs of progress until the last few games, even then chances created were good.

I just don't think SR will get it right! I've said it before, if it happens, they need to get a bit of a dinosaur who puts round pegs in round holes, 442 etc, but for some reason these people have gone out of favour!

I don't see the point in sacking him right now unless there is a replacement lined up tbh.

I really don't think having Lallana in charge next week is suddenly going to make us a better side more likely to beat Preston.

I do think they should be starting that search though. As I said midweek I think the job is too big for him and aside from anything else I think he lacks authority with the squad.

As for who's next then I'll have the mush who finished 9th in the Bulgarian second tier last season.

For a little bit of perspective on the quality of our squad, at the start of the season the bookies had us as second favourites to go up. We are 18 places off that at the moment due to how the squad is being managed and motivated. Never seen a bookie on a pushbike etc etc.
Sadly Still cannot turn this around. Since the break, we have got worse. There`s signs he`s losing the dressing room, if he hasn`t lost it already. Our patient fans are turning against him in increasing numbers. He hasn`t got the credibility, experience, gravitas or nous to turn it around.

There’s not a lot out there at the moment on the manager front but I wouldn’t turn my nose up at Carrick.
Think the squad would suit him. He got the best out of Azaz and Archer at Boro, think he could be good for the likes of Jander, Charles, Downes etc? Players would look up to him you’d like to think, but you never know with this lot?

I do wonder if he looks at us and thinks he’d turn his nose up at us though.

Agree with that. Apart from the obvious striker problem I actually think a decent manager could get a tune out of this squad. Carrick for me too.

I did not expect us to get automatic promotion this season with the weaknesses we had in not only the forward line, but with our defensive frailties and a new (inexperienced EFL) manager. I did, however, expect us to be operating on the fringes of the playoffs, and we have fallen well short of that expectation and find ourselves in the relegation zone. Will Still appears unable to effectively communicate a playing strategy to his players and the players evidently lack motivation to play for him. I cannot see the point of continuing with him given that he appears unable to take what is a strong squad into playoff contention. We need a no-nonsense manager to stiffen the backbone of this squad and engender an aggressive winning attitude.

Why? He would have one of the strongest squads in the league to work with.

I assume the lack of news means he is being given the Preston games then.

If we got someone in this week then you give them a few free hit winnable games to make their mark and turn things around.

Waiting for the international break would mean the first game is against Nathan Jones' Charlton, and we all know how that ends.
