Honestly I’m absolutely loving life like. Never did I expect us after those 8 horrible years to ever see anything like this, nevermind our first season back!

The city is thriving because of the success on the pitch and I’ll always thank KLD for that. I honestly believe if we keep at it we might finally get to have those European nights at the SOL

I’m probably getting carried away but we may aswell.

So many good players today it’s hard to single anyone out. I’m particularly buzzing for Brobbey, Talbi and Isidor

Brobbey looked to cause problems for their defence as soon as he came on. For him to be the cause for the winner will do his confidence wonders

Talbi finally got his goal, top player, always looked good to me when he played but he’s a different beast on the left side

Isidor just keeps improving, his all round game has increased tenfold and he’s thriving because of it. Always gets a shot on goal every single game. Holding the ball up and winning headers now.

I’m over the moon like. In regards to the city thriving, the little things like the posters on the walk up to the new bridge, the club has restored a sense of pride in our city. David Bruce is a big one for our marketing and reach off the pitch too.

It’s just class man

Knew he was good, but wow:

Talismanic Xhaka leads the way

Of Sunderland's summer recruits, none has been more influential than Granit Xhaka.

The former Arsenal captain raised eyebrows when he decided to leave Bayer Leverkusen for the north east in the summer.

There were even question marks whether the 33-year-old could still cut it in the Premier League, having left for Germany in 2023.

But he has confounded the critics in spectacular style.

The Swiss ranks first for assists (three), chances created (11), successful passes (397), passes into the box (49), touches (629), duels won (56) and possession won (43).
He's world class mate

Should’ve scored his chance

Brilliant post mate.

Completely agree about the confidence boost for Brobbey and Talbi. Love the footage showing Xhaka celebrating before Talbi’s shot has even gone in. Look at him and Nordi, absolute top drawer players, Xhaka, ballon d’or candidate and Nordi from PSG who have bought into us so quickly.
My son has just reminded me that we have just beaten the world champions on their own ground and bossed it in terms of creating and taking chances.
What a day man. Love this club and city. HTL.
