Disagree. I can see this squad having a relatively spectacular turn around if we bring in the right person.

Obviously that’s a titanic-sized ‘if’.
Agree we have a decent squad, just need someone to motivate and get some discipline instilled. We have gone from tippy tappy to hoofball. We need a medium between the two. Gave the ball away so easily today.

So i'm pretty sure Still will be gone soon (although I think he will at least get until Sheffield Wednesday as we know SRs modus operandi for giving managers about 1-3 months longer than the fans do), more interestingly who is out there then?

I will preface this list by saying I dont necessarily want these managers, also some of these may be very unlikely;

Ralph Hasenhuttl - I dont think there is a chance, but a few have mentioned him. (Some crap betting site seems to have him as favorite if Still is sacked, but we know that counts for **** all while the manager is still here).

Russell Martin - Only here because I could see SR being stupid enough to approach, I think he would tell them to **** off if they tried it anyway and we would all breathe a sigh of relief.

Ange Postecoglu - Might still see himself as a PL manager and I don't think his style of football is compatible with our players anyway.

Gary O'Neil - Some would be underwhelmed, but he has had some purple patches in his career. Wolves seem to have reverted to being **** again so maybe their problems were bigger than him.

Steven Gerrard - Actually did a good job at Rangers, but hasn't looked up to anything anywhere else. Lots of our fanbase would hate him off the spot for who he is.

Michael Carrick - Sounds like SR were semi interested in him in the summer, did well at Middlesbrough for a time but they are doing far better without him now.

Alex Revell - Stevenage manager doing well in League One. Another one relatively high on previously mentioned crap betting site. Fans would be underwhelmed, but going for an in form, young manager from a league below is not unknown to SR.....

Noone really inspires tbh.

No chance G O’N I think. Too big a Pompey connection

Bit harsh to say Boro are doing far better now. Edwards is in the honeymoon period, and Carrick did just as well, if not better, when he started there. Also, he built the team that Edwards has there now.

Defo the best choice of that lot.

Can't see any benefit of sacking Will Still. The perfomances are exactly as i expected and i did not see any improvement until November. I think we need to give Will Still more time. Unless we are in the relegation zone on January, he needs to be given the whole season and then make decision. I think the signing of a striker in January and bringing in an experienced coach will improve things.

Do not see Still being culpable for failure to signing a proper forward.

The players are doing him no favours what so ever. So if Still does get the boot, who takes over?
I am still behind him, hopefully he is on a sharp learning curve.
(I see what I did there ) lol
It's pretty obvious to me, that the players have no respect for Still. Unfortunately after today, he has to go.

Couldn’t watch today as had work, but result alone he’s gotta go now for sure. Sounds like he had a shocker bringing Stephens on for Leo. I saw the score at half time & really thought we might go onto win today, but alas Still has ballsed it massively!

Absolute not a clue who we get in next.. Carsley would be my pick tbh. Wanted him when we sacked Russ Martin & he’s my shout to throw into the mix

Will go down if WS stays. I cant believe anyone thinks he should stay! The players are not playing for him.

Im not necessarily wanting him to stay, ive just lost all interest in who manages us right now - because I have no faith in SR to appoint a decent manager.

I just feel it'll be more of the same ****. There's something rotten in the club that goes far beyond the manager and players, and that rot is called Sport Republic.

There in lies the rub. We all know, if we are being honest, that any replacement manager will be 'cool' and be a 'surprise' appointment, but also not up to the task. Any revamping of the squad, should it happen at Christmas, will be equally as mystifying and uninspiring.

We know that this season, and perhaps a few to come, are basically a waste of time and we should probably try to enjoy the few victories we might see.

I'm one that was ok to give him time but that needs to correspond with some progress and whilst I accept mistakes will happen we keep making the same ones and when that happens something has to change or you'll just keep repeating it - that doesn't outright mean sacking but something has to change somewhere.

The ten games since the transfer window is up and he's still doing the definition of madness (playing 3CBs) and we appear to be getting worse.
The catastrophic in game management today against a poor Blackburn side has probably sealed his fate with the fans imo. I also think that there is a low morale issue with the squad which I believe will be very difficult for him to turn around. He's probably a good guy but we have to give someone else a go before it's far too late to salvage the season.
