I had a dream the other day that we scored two goals in quick succession against Liverpool.

I see the team sheet on weekly basis and I still can’t comprehend why we struggle on the pitch.

We did ok, eh?

A way to go yet but, the single most positive thing of the whole game was when they equalised, we went back to the other
and scored again.
They fought for one another in that match. Best win this year, for sure!

We should kick on from here. Everything needed is already there.

Just caught the highlights on MUTV - what a team performance, what a win. We could have been three up going in at half time but they kept their heads, didn't collapse after the equaliser and fought to the end - brilliant stuff. Let's hope we can keep that same focus against Brighton next weekend.

Slot was really talking out of his rear end when he tried to lament long balls. He must have been watching a different game! Had Sesko started yesterday, I bet we could have been up by 3 at the half time.

We need to follow up that performance with a good showing. That has been the issue the whole time. Hard to fathom that win was our first back to back in almost a year. But if the players can galvanize to take the next game with the same commitment, that truly could be the turning point for all them to start believing in one another and whatever system Amorim looks to deploy.

Indeed, it's absolutely crucial to not just follow this with a defeat at home to Brighton.

Beating Brighton next game could see us properly kick on.

Slot is just another bluffer BTW. Inherited a great squad and told them to crack on, basically. Now he's making his own changes they look half the team they were.

For him to basically say we didn’t pick the team or play the way he expected was just gibberish.

Long may it continue.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Brighton have beaten us more times than any other team in the PL. In that context alone a win this weekend would be a huge achievement and could nudge us up towards the Europa league places.

Brighton started our terrible form last year at OT. If we can overcome them this weekend, we should celebrate Ike we’ve won a cup. We’ve beaten Chelsea and Liverpool already, but it is in games against the likes of Brighton that we need to continue to improve to collect maximum points and improve the goal difference.

Great game! Game got tight and still managed to pull it together to assure the points. Impressive!

Huge congratulations to Amorim. Chief must have paid him a secret visit. Great to see the players are responding positively.

The biggest plus is that when Brighton got to 3 - 2 we went and got another, same as when Liverpool equalised last week.

In more recent times, we'd have folded.

All very positive.

We genuinely can't be calling for another manager change while referencing last season, it's all about this season now. And not having Europe helps with sorting all this out.

And what a massive ****ing huge upgrade our front three are on Garnacho, Rashford, Antony and Hojlund.

Need some midfield reinforcement, possible loan or signing in January, and then a big signing in summer.

Ok, I think this is a fairer reflection, rather than deciding we are relegation candidates after three games.

Have we beaten any top teams? Yes, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Two of our defeats are Arsenal and City, so only really Brentford is an abomination.

A looooooooong way to go, but this is what happens when you wait for things to evolve.

I don't think there's anyone out there couldn't agree that this team is a million miles ahead of the one that he was playing around with last season.

Starting to score goals, no longer collapsing when opponents score. A keeper that actually makes saves!

Couple of tweaks in January, onwards and upwards.

Not a win today, but many great positives. Three weeks ago we would have lost this match with the way Forest came back. But the team stood firm and tried to win. Good resilience that will serve us well deeper into the season.

Forest had it all to play for with the new manager and the it was never going to be an easy away game. I also think we missed Maguire at the back for those two goals conceded.

Another positive;

When Forest scored their first goal, Lammens made a full length dive to try and save it.

100% certainty that Onana.would have just stood there and watched it go in.

Small wins!!

That keeper problem just went away overnight. The jitteriness about what the keeper is going to do next (or not do) psychologically fk3d up the play. We just need the defenders to be more attentive and stop blinking at critical times and that should reduce the dependency on the keeper and let him do more of the shot shooting.
