Guys, something's wrong with the BBC website, it says we're one point off the playoffs after beating the Czech Republic. Which one of you is winding me up?

Delighted for the Faroes. Not so much me as I had them down to win 1-0. Ah well..

There’s some really weird stuff happening in the qualifiers around the world (mostly due to the expansion of 48 teams)

Jordan and Uzbekistan have already qualified and Africa is weird as some of the usual sides aren’t doing great, with Benin and Cape Verde are also on course to qualify

North America is weird as well due to Canada, Mexico and USA automatically qualifying, with Haiti and Curacao also possibly getting through.

There’s going to be some very one sided games next summer.

Even Iraq could make it - which would be fascinating to see them in a US hosted WC.

Iraq vs Iran at the USA World Cup would certainly confirm this to be the most bizarre of all the timelines.

Choice of watching tonight.
Wales v Belgium
N. Ireland v Germany..

Both kick off a 7.45, both live on BBC. Shames they can't split the screen.

A frankly damning alternate championship table, ranked by how far the north stand of each team is away from true north

So are we NNW or NNE?
It’ll presumably make 12 o’clock kick offs slightly more or less tolerable if it’s a low sun
