Had plenty of great trips to Birmingham for the cricket tbf. It gets a bad rep but I don't mind it at all. Food is excellent.

Agree, Edgbaston is great. Only time I've been to St Andrews, it was March and it snowed all day. Was freezing and we got beat 3-0. Had a good couple of days out at Villa though.

Birmingham is a decent city to be fair, Bull Ring is overrated in my opinion but St Andrew’s was a decent ground back in the day and its still a great atmosphere when the Brummies can be bothered to make some noise.

Has to be one of the longest serving grounds in the EFL by now?

I only went to Villa once, it was in the PL days when Duke came rushing out to take a throw in and it backfired badly. We lost 1-0 IIRC and that might also have been the game that Bullard reinjured himself and blubbed his way off the pitch.

Their gaffer is under some serious pressure ATM. We’ve seemed to do better against teams who want to dominate the ball so hopefully we can follow suit against this arrogant lot

I honestly thought both them and Wrexham were very poor their game the other day. Proper bore fest, nodded off a Cpl of times…personally I don’t think there is anything to worry about from either… I could be totally wrong mind….

Anyone watched the prime documentary on this lot? Tom Brady loves the sound of his own voice

Yeah, he didn't come across great I didn't think. Like they were trying to just copy Wrexham and it wasn't genuine at all.

After winning the first couple of games, Birmingham have struggled. As expectations are quite high there, it wouldn't surprise me if the manager is sacked in the next month if things don't pick up.

I don't understand why Birmingham are suddenly able to spend loads of money? It's not like Wrexham who have the documentary and all the US income that that brings. Surely Birmingham should be in the same boat as the rest of us FFP wise?

We keep winning, drawing and losing, so after 4 points in the last 2 this has got loss written all over it. Oh, and it's right after an international break as well which just doesn't work for us.

I'd jokingly predicted to someone at work our form this season would be , lose one, draw one, win one, didn't expect it to be this accurate...

I like Birmingham.
Had some cracking weekends there.

No idea how this will go though. Draw maybe

I ****ing hate international breaks, especially when the season has just started, can’t wait for it to be over.

This is the last year that they work like this. Next year two of the three autumn breaks are combined into a single break spanning two consecutive weekends. That one will feel like an eternity between club games, but it maybe makes sense to reduce the stop start nature of it.

Never really understood why there needs to be three breaks in quick succession and then none for 6 months. I like international football and think it gets an unfairly bad rep, but I do wonder why they're so clustered like that.
