My lad has a season ticket and went to many games the last few years. I said to him. Once we get back to the big time, you won't be moaning how bad we play but how you can't get to games
I feel like we have the golden ticket ! - it’s no longer a case of how can we continue getting a season ticket but how can we not !?

Key for this game is the middle of the park, we play with a strong three, Xhaka commanding the middle, Sadiki wider left and Rigg wider right. With the both tucked in I am hopeful Mbuemo and Cunha, if they're playing in the inside forward roles, will find it to tough to create.

Their centre midfield pairing is arguably the worst in the league, its not very functional, especially off the ball. I watched United first game of the season and I was really impressed with the way they moved the ball, one touch and two touch stuff, then they came unstuck because things didnt go their way, their midfield gets bypassed. They've spent 200 million on 3 new forwards and haven't adressed the elephant in the room which is the lack of a dominant midfielder to play alongside someone like Mainoo.

We will benefit from playing Le Fee central instead of Rigg, but either would be nice. Bring a winger in for one of those lads to give us extra width and pace. Adingra or Traore, even Mayenda if he's up to it.

I wonder if it's part of our new and improved care of the squad's fitness and condition. Lots of specialists brought in to try to keep the lads in tip-top shape. Plus the investment in the academy's medical facilities.
I noticed Ballard was back to fitness when they said he would be, last season it would have been at least an extra fortnight so hopefully means they've got their act together now.

Excellent RTB! You never know with Man Utd which team/performance is going to turn up. At the moment we have stability, desire and passion so I think this will get us over the line. I think everyone in the ground will be thinking if the result doesn’t go well is there coach’s last game. Hopefully this doubt can lead us getting something out the game. In one way a point for the lads will be excellent. A point for United might be a disaster for a certain individual. After last weeks win in a way this is a free hit for us. Remembering back to 1974 and Billy Hughes two goals. We ended up losing that day but loved the get at them mentality. Going for 1 - 2 to the lads. Wilson and Talbi HTL!!!

Next 2 games are an opportunity for 6 points, which I think we're more than capable of. I'd be happy with 4 and 3 would be ok .

On our current form, I'd give us a chance against any team. This only "scary" fixtures being Liverpool, arsenal, spurs, Chelsea, man c. I'm ignoring the scum for now lol

Man U have got a leaky defence, struggle to score etc. still a big name with good players, but they are a shadow of the team they used to be. Nothing is guaranteed but the lads can approach this with confidence imo

I have seen a few posts on here that indicate that in November or December it will be much cheaper to sack him, something about 12m before this mythical date. No idea if this is true, good tesult and I guess we find out.

What a game that was, beat us 3-2 that day, Hughes was majestic

That night I was having a pint in Whitburn Cricket Club.....most of the players came int they just sat quietly talking amongst each other. Loved that era and even Man Utd the way they played....Hill, Coppell wingers....Pearson, Macari through the middle non stop football. Had the privilege to go Old Trafford 67 I think....Best, Law and Charlton against us that day.....shame their club is a shadow of themselves.

Unbelievable how the majority believe we can beat Man U on their own patch. Shows how far we have come and the belief in our team.
I am confident of a win but would happily take a point now if offered.
My biggest concern is the ref, Stuart effing Atwell. We do not have a great record with him at the helm whereas Man U have.

I've noticed that they're posting a lot more training pictures on Facebook including weights and other gym work as well as football training. I quite enjoy seeing them to be honest.

Ever since i was a nipper Man U were the team to beat. Never in my lifetime did I think we would have a team capable of beating them, until now. This long wait has finally come to an end, so now when people ask who do I support i can say it with pride, and they will know where I'm from. My heart goes back to the promotion game against Charlton, that game broke me, it took me ages to get over it. Now we have an infrastructure who knows what they are doing and a team to be proud of win draw or lose the lads will have given their all so the folks back home can be proud of them. A win will be like winning the cup, we need an open top bus parade.
