But only if our defence becomes rather less porous

Be nice though to actually have strikers scoring and more than one of them

True. But look at the top scorers for those teams in 3rd and 4th place last season:

    Leeds: Piroe - 19, James - 12

    Burnley: Brownhill - 18, Zemming - 12

    Sheff Utd; Campbell - 10, Cannon - 10

    Sunderland; Isidor - 12, Mayenda - 8

If Ross stays fit, I reckon he'll get 15-20, and I think Adarma won't be far behind. Not sure Archer will do so well unless he gets a run of starts at some point. Azaz will get close to double figures though hopefully.

Was superb last night and showed how huge a player he could be for us this season.

Delighted for him on a personal level too, after what he's been through last night must have felt ****ing amazing for him.

    Great stuff.

Roscoe could potentially go from literal myth to legend this season.

Genuinely shocked no one got 20+ (at least from those top four sides).

They must have really shared the goals around considering Leeds and Burnley got 100 points.

Don't think Burnley scored that many as they conceded so few.

I think a lot of Burnley's success was due to only conceding 16 Goals all season - that is mad!

Think Stewart now should be 850 mins instead of 750 (was at 765 before) so a goal every 3.148 matches which still keeps him just about ahead of Armstrong.

Thanks for highlighting the error Jack, appreciate it. I have double checked and the mistake is actually the minutes played prior to yesterday's match! I have corrected it on the original post as it should have read 665 mins.

I would like to say I did that deliberately to see if anyone was paying attention but no, that was a complete cock up on my part.

His goals stay at 1 goal every 2.777 matches(edited again as I worded it completely wrong!).

It is amazing that this is third season and he has barely managed to play 7 games.

..and scored 3 goals in those 7 games. That is actually a good amount considering how little he has played as in stop start stop start

Yeah it is, he has featured 26 times for us and this totals 8.33 matches. And when you factor in the minutes played in games, it's obvious a player isn't likely to contribute much if at all!

His first season he managed, 7, 10 and 7 minutes in the league with a further 18 mins in the playoffs semi first leg.

Last season he fared a little better featuring for at least 30 mins in 6 matches. The most minutes played was against Arsenal in the final game where he managed 70 minutes and surprise surprise scored a goal.

To be fair to the coaches during his time, but nobody can accuse anyone of rushing him back, he has been treated with care, but now is his time, he's got that spring in his step and knows where the goal is, he always just needed consistent minutes.

He's gonna be a huge player for us this season, fingers crossed his injury demons are behind him, his confidence is growing and I don't see why he can't get 20 goals minimum.

    Some Myths are actually Legends!
