I'm sure he is, which is fine, but today was poor and really we go back to Everton last season, the pre-season, and it's all crept into this season. Here's a quick take on today - when you play 5-4-1, you stifle your full backs as the wing is too crowded, it pushes you into a back five, allows the opponents full backs further up and draws wide players back too. The midfield of two can't get a hold of the game and so you're really setting yourself up for - at best - 0-0.
I would've assumed having Bruno/Joelinton on the bench, and Bradford in midweek, that there was a plan to keep it 0-0 or better then change things. We didn't have that plan - we made like for like subs which weakened us and 0-0 was then the best we were ever going to get. I think something needs to change at the club.
