**** ref tried to get them to win by not giving us a pen and them a ridiculous free kick on the edge of the box..
Lanky nonce.

He was ok but was far too headless at times. Didn't create any opportunitiesMurphy, but like I say the benchmark of fwds right and left wasn't exactly high.
All of them were of no assistance in general.
Been on a course?

I'd say Murphy. So who performed better in an attacking sense?

Barnes looked to attack the box several times
Yup.Positives: Another clean sheet and the 3 CB's played well.
Yup.
Thiaw probably should have been sent off mind.

If Thiaw was sent off AND Woltemade didn't get a pen then it would have been clear bias.Thiaw probably should have been sent off mind.
He did put his leg out.1st yellow was harsh and the second what was he supposed to do? Move out the players way? He just stood his ground.
Yes and it wouldn’t have surprised me. It was a penalty 100%. Big six sides get them all day long.If Thiaw was sent off AND Woltemade didn't get a pen then it would have been clear bias.
That was clearly a foul in the box.

Also felt Howe was piss poor in-game as usual. The changes were baffling. Surely take off Burn or Thiaw for Bruno and go 4-3-3 to try and win the match? Miley should've been hooked as well, never seen anyone pass it backwards so much.
It's like getting to half time, having been second best and creating nothing, then leaving the same XI on the pitch - why? Then through the second half when we didn't have a single shot surely a change was needed and even worked on ahead of the match?
At this stage of the season, it just looks to me like we've made yet more poor recruitment decisions and Howe's run out of ideas.

Maybe the ambtions are simple like finish top half and give the cups a go again?
If we beat Arsenal which we could do things change.60 mins again so they were pre planned.. Newcastles bench chew gum, but they aren't making changes based on the contest I don't think.. It's a pre determined game plan executed every time. The only exception being injuries or cards.
I understand people saying another point, talking about the plusses and even referencing the quantity of milk they see in their cup, but we've got Arsenal next and every week we're losing ground on clubs only playing once a week. Newcastle have to win more games and that's the bottom line.
No but I just know what it meant and wanted to highlight what people are doing.
Socrates is another example
When a debate has lost the loser used insults as their tool.
Essentially anyone saying we're not playing very well and not creating anything isn't being unreasonable and anyone attacking them is adopting ad hominem.
VAR should allow the ref a second look. He can make his own mind up, but the whole point is surely that he gets an angle he can't see from where he's standing? Another bullshit decision.
