I don't mind the three at the back. Thiaw had glimpses, Botman was our best and Burn has always been a good leader. Hall needs time, Livramento is going to be inconsistent but will improve. My issue is the wide players, they just don't work in that formation as it all gets too defensive. 5-3-2 would work far better and we have the players to do it. 4-3-3 against weaker sides where we can take the game to them, 5-3-2 in harder matches. They were all bad in simpler terms, but how much of that was due to the manager?

1st yellow was harsh and the second what was he supposed to do? Move out the players way? He just stood his ground.
Also felt Howe was piss poor in-game as usual. The changes were baffling. Surely take off Burn or Thiaw for Bruno and go 4-3-3 to try and win the match? Miley should've been hooked as well, never seen anyone pass it backwards so much.

I couldn’t see a clear game pattern to win the game mind. It was structured not to lose and felt like a Benitez masterclass.
