I think the damning factor here is that number 10 was warned by the security services not to appoint Mandelson, the only thing we can't be sure of is did the powers within Downing St give that message to Starmer and if not, why not! I think Keir knew and went with the high risk element because of his connections within the US - trouble is with that, it sells out all the victims of child abuse. Even Ed Davey is calling for answers now. The Prime Minister knew alright.

Yep. It’s MI6 that are saying Mandelson never passed the appropriate vetting process. Starmer said all due diligence was done. He’s lied to parliament.

    He needs to resign.

His position has now become untenable. They’ll be more coming out over the next days and weeks about this. He has to resign.

    He won’t, though.

Even Ed Davey is turning against the sleaze blob

If he keeps this up I might be able to vote for them again

Yeah Davey has normally kept the Labour benches on side, because he hates the Tories, but even Ed is turning now.

On serious note if Starmer is forced to fall on his sword that will mean that Labour will have turned into a bigger **** fest in a year than the worst Tory Government in years managed in ten years

I know he likes a drink to unwind the stresses of the day, it;s his way of handling life. Depends if he's working from home tomorrow.

If an Emergency General Election was called this Autumn how many more seats would the Greens win than Labour

Probably at least twice as many.
Lets be honest, who would vote for Labour again in the foreseeable future
