Would have been Gary Speed's birthday today, 56. Not just a great footballer and loved by fans of every club lucky enough to have had him play at their club, but from all accounts and most importantly a great man. if you are struggling, reach out and speak to someone.
A good, underrated player who seemed to have a big future. Guess we’ll never know the circumstances which is probably best.
From what I heard it happened because….lol jus joking RIP top player remember him mostly for his partnership with Gary McAllister at Leeds them 2 had that midfield on lock
A stunning evening of international football with Belarus v Scotland and everyone’s second team at a neutral ground vs. Italy. Not long until the comforting disappointment of club football for a few more weeks.
Likely means the Prem will drop all the charges against Citeh in return... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cy7pk8xyy7go
Can afford to do that if you've won a Prem title and FA Cup in the last decade ... others might just continue to 'participate', I guess...
Funnily enough I had a brief browse, looks like they got away with it, if my understanding of it is correct. In short the Prem **** its pants and bottled it because of whatever had gone on in all the legal stuff prior.
Both sides spunked millions on legal fees - complete waste of time ... the Prem / FA arguing that such transactions make the league 'uncompetitive' are, quite frankly, laughable ... you ain't got a competitive league when one club is able to spend over £400 million on new players in a transfer window whilst others, in the same league, are prohibited from strengthening until they have sold one (or more) of their better players ... despite having billionaire ownership ...
Tbh mate, all these arguments do is make lawyers richer, so I'd not go there, much like the compensation culture we inherited from the Americans, there's only one winner at the end of all this and that's the legal teams.
So the Scotland game tonight is behind closed doors, well I'm ****ing that off then. Israel v Italy is an option Amazon Prime PPV (£2.49)
Donnarumma has punched one into his own net. Referee instantly disallowed it gesturing for handball. Not touched anyone but the goalkeeper.
I’d fancy Joe Jordan in a scrap with Gattuso now. Looks like he’s done nothing but eat calzones for a few years.
Moise Kean scores a great equaliser a bit against the run of play. Surely not the lazy fat bloke who couldn’t be arsed for Everton.
