My bad, I hadn't scrolled all the way to the bottom. <doh>

The site hasn't got figures for several of our new signings, including Destan, McBurnie and Ajayi, which will of course push our wage bill up more. So it's not necessarily that the wages I quoted are wrong, it's that their website doesn't have entries for all of our players, so they just added up the data they did have and declared that as the final figure. Which seems....****. But there you go.

So if you take £20k a week to be £1m a year in salary (roughly speaking), then you'd imagine McBurnie will at least be on that, Ajayi won't be far off and a combination of Gyabi, Akintola and Destan would stick another £1m on there at least.

The biggest surprise for me was Millar being quoted as double what Belloumi is on.
Believe mcburnie will be on 30k he was offered 32k at another club that were after him.

From what I can find,

Millar 21k
Belloumi 19k
Giles 35k (multiple sources although I find it hard to believe)
Gyabi 5k (Leeds figures)
Gelhardt 15k
Amir Hadžiahmetović 35k (Besiktas figures)
John Lundstram 41.5 (yes, 41.5 multiple sources are quoting this, figures from Trabzonspor)
McBurnie 33k (Las Palmas figures)
David Akintola 2.5k (reported, but can't find anything concrete)
Semi Ajayi 13k (West Brom figures)
Akin Famewo 8.5k (Sheffield Weds figures)
Reda Laalaoui 8k (couple of sources although nothing concrete)
Joel Ndala 3k (Man City figures although only 1 source)
Enis Destan (only 1 source, Trabzonspor figures)

According to Capology, we have a wage budget of £13m.

Top of that list is John Lundstram, who is on £45,000 a week (verified as well). Hopefully we’re not paying all of that.

Hadziahmetovic is also on £35,000 a week (verified) - can see why Besiktas were keen to offload him at that price. Again, hopefully we are not paying all of that.

Giles listed as £35k (unverified), not sure if that’s correct but **** a brick if it is, that’s a lot for a left back.

Compare that to Gelhardt’s £15k a week (verified) and it’s easy to see where we get more value for money.

EDIT: On the wage budget, I've just checked again and they haven't listed figures for Ndala, Destan, Williams, Akintola, Phillips, Ajayi, McBurnie or Gyabi, so our wage budget isn't £13m, it's probably substantially higher than that.

Haha, I just did a list too!

I’ve seen Trabzonspor fans on X say Lundstram is on €2 million-a-year there. £45K-a-week would be closer to €2.5 million-a-year.

I’m also curious how Capology verifies individual salaries.

It's 48k euros, there are various sources with this, I'm pretty sure info can be gathered from a few different sources

Not a chance Laalaoui is on £8k a week coming from Morocco and being so young, unless there was loads of interest from elsewhere so we had to tempt him.
Yeah, the only other way would be if our owner was a 'football manager' playing playboy who loves chucking massive amounts of money at all and sundry....

Edited because I'm not sure our owner is particularly a fan of French impressionism

I agree with you entirely for exactly the same reasons, but that's the figures I could find and that was from several different sources.

They can't, it's just geeks being geeks. Some of them are laughably wrong.

Of course they can. It’s whether you trust them to be honest or trust it as a source. If you’re privy to information that suggests otherwise then fair enough, but as DJ just posted, sometimes the information is available via public domain if you can look hard enough.

I have no reason to doubt the verified stuff because I’ve yet to see any evidence to the contrary that their verified figures are incorrect. The unverified stuff I ignore because as they admitted, it’s an algorithm that “fills in the blanks” and they don’t provide the source code for that algorithm, so **** knows what it is based on.
