Take some advice and forget about RTG. It used to be a great forum, but has gone to the dogs...many idiot posters, very bad moderating. It's a thing of the past.
Just enjoy your time on here, where you have the respect you deserve.

Posting personal details online. Like if you were Bob Smith from Birtley and I posted those details on here.

I'm surprised you know him Becs, also a bit unfair to mention him on here tbh <laugh>

"A serial criminal who drove a car at a cyclist before his passenger made off with the bike has been put behind bars.
Robert Smith was driving in Sunderland in broad daylight when he and his accomplice spotted the victim riding an electric bicycle in May this year."

Good on Wee Philli and his lass.

The open racism on RTG is a disgrace and does little for Sunderland AFCs good name as well as some of the other issues they highlight.

There are a (large) number of posters on there that I now ignore - mainly because they're utterly boring bellends who pollute the board and add nothing at all of value, but Hetton bot tops the lot. Despise that poster. And it's mainly because they have uber protection from the moderators and never suffer the consequences of their actions. Are you listening @RTG mods?

I hear what you're saying, but it's hard to let go completely.

I was like a tramp shouting at pigeons compared to Becs but I have moments where I go on RTG to remember the good old days. I never log in, and 5-10 minutes of reading dull unfunny posts usually satisfies that urge.

I didn’t realise he was the DJ in Idols years ago. If he’s the one that done the ‘big rose island red’ or summit like that he was a decent turn. It was part of the circuit then, ‘Twas the only place we had 2 pints anawl cos of the bikini clad barmaids. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Would you believe both posts have been deleted, apparently for misinformation.

No bans appear to be in place

I was on there for years, under another guise, from around 2005 or so,and enjoyed it. It started to become different, very cliquey and got nasty, spiteful and hateful......remember the issue with BSH,a really good lad and massive fan,who just couldn't shake them off. Also, the abuse Reiver got about the Dell takeover. I was engaged in a spat with someone after, what I thought, was a fairly innocent post, which led to my receiving PM messages calling me out. I've achieved a very accomplished martial arts level, and, although I may struggle a bit now, wouldn't have been afraid for my safety at that time if I'd have taken up the invitation. However, the idea of meeting outside the Jacksons an hour before kick-off somehow didn't appeal to me!<laugh>
I decided to cancel my registration and have never been back. I've enjoyed my time on this forum.....mostly good people on here.

    <laugh>

I was absolutely blessed to have been given a direct link to the Dell people, through my work.

So it was all like a dream when they registered a company at the SOL and their people were asking for 'a supporters opinion' on endless subjects ...

    ... that was me <laugh>

Of course I was thrilled, who wouldn't be, and passed on as much information as I was allowed to, much of it deliberate so they good gauge the reaction.

One thing that particularly sticks in my mind was that they, or rather their feasibility team, asked was about how people felt about the club badge.

They felt it was outdated, too complicated and like a crest from the shirt of the Royal Engineers. They wanted something 'iconic', for the supporters, instantly nostalgic but easily produced and different to Newcastle's 'council crest from the thirties'.

I'm proud to say I had my say in that and I'll treasure the memory ...

... I told mates about it all, back then, and they'd back me if I felt any need, as it happens I really don't care.

No one had ever mentioned the badge, not once, until I posted it on here and RTG, it triggered a huge response and quite a lot of excitement.

Sadly Donald f*cked it all up and my chance to be involved in the club, in some capacity, was lost.

I was gutted at the time but lots of things 'Dell' suggested have come to pass and I like to believe some of what I said somehow stayed in the club files.

And let's not forget, without me, the footings for the monorail would never have been built ...

... still time though, let's all believe it's still happening <laugh>

It was a mad time and a shame it didn’t come off and I think most believed you posted in good faith.

The clubs in a good place now so alls well and all that. As a general point I like the badge as I grew up with it but I also really like the crest. The way the club are using the two seems to keep Most happy.

When you think about it, using both badges was genius and such a simple idea ...

... for some reason I'm now happier with the club crest since the ship reappeared.

I would love the club to incorporate on the ship badge gold stars to acknowledge our league titles. If not to show our proud history but also it would rile the scum up something terrible, great to see another meltdown lol

That's a fair point mate and why not ...

... we're entitled and every reason the families of the players who won those titles to be proud.
