Yes, that's right, you the people have spoken - and we have listened.

You want a headline game that has honesty and integrity at all levels, with a genuine chance for anyone to win. Not a corrupt farce where the gamesmaster always fixes it so he/she wins every time.

So here is the all new: "Better than Trev's Headline Game, Headline Game". First up, Leeds vs Toon match.

Rules:

1. One headline entry allowed per person. Your first post in this thread will be regarded as your headline entry, so be careful what you post Any subsequent posts will be deemed as comments only.

2. Headline submissions to be made by 9.00pm Monday 1st September 2025.

3. If there are 5 or more submissions then there will be an initial vote where the top 3 entries will then go to a second and final vote.

4. You cannot vote for yourself when voting starts. Any such votes will be excluded from the final count and so will be a wasted vote.

5. Headline entries and any votes by known sock accounts will be excluded from any official vote counts.

6. Due to ongoing Interpol investigations, Trev (aka Rim and Black for 2) will not be allowed to enter the competition and his votes will not count. Any comments he posts will be deleted.

Due to the overwhelming level of popularity shown for this new and improved version of the headline game, we will bring the submission deadline forward by 24 hours.

The new submission deadline will be 9pm tonight (Sunday 31st August).

Not only is this new and improved version fairer, more honest and more transparent, it is also slicker and more efficient. Just as you, the people, wanted.
