Pandur has been arguably one of the most disappointing players this season, he’s made some errors and his distribution has been poor, you’ve got to wonder if his head is elsewhere because he’s a world away from the player we saw last season. He would be a loss but a decent loan signing could cover for him.

Hughes on the other hand is the most important player in the squad, our entire perspective on the season changes if he goes.

Corrected for you Airlie

If pandur goes (and we can't hang on till the summer at least) it really does show the **** state we have been run into finances wise.

No team with ambition (which we are told we have) would do that.

If I was McBurnie I would be well pissed...but sure the 35k a week will ease his pain.

If we get a fee north of £5m I'd say it's good business, presuming we can get a stopgap option for this season and either buy Tickle or integrate TLT next summer.

He's a good keeper, but who's to say he's not hit his ceiling last season? He's looked pretty shaky so far this one.

I dont disagree to be honest on the points. But its more churn, more squad disruption, and a worse keeper in to replace.

Stability sees teams get out of this division, not what we are doing.

And we are hardly Brentford building a squad by identifying assets, selling, improving, etc.

Its out of desperation, its not a plan.

But in isolation, it might be a good move. I the grand scheme, its another nail in a downward trajectory! IMO.

agree, theres no actually good reason to sell your main goalkeeper 2 days before the window shuts when you cant buy one
its financial reasons only unfortunately

Seems that Phillips has already been written off as a replacement for Pandur, after 1 appearance. Bit premature maybe?

Has he proved himself as an established championship keeper?
He is back up at best IMO (based on his career).

Glad that banter aside you're coming around to my way of thinking. :)

Well, Pandur had no Champ experience and he turned out ok after a shaky start. Not saying Phillips is great, I don't know, but some of the comments about him on here seem over the top at this stage.

if we sell pandur
we will be brining in a loan or free agent keeper to be number 1
not phillips
