Open minded who is at fault. They’ve (owners) spent a huge chunk of money and they’ve listened to who Farke has wanted to bring in.

I’ve no idea if we’ve screwed up in a few transfers, if we’ve been unrealistic, if we’ve pissed about or been played by agents.

Whatever the reason, it’s been a shambles for the main part. I can’t hit them with your stick for not backing Farke as they’ve spent a lot, if it’s not been well spent (which I don’t think it has) then questions need asking

If Farke asked for these signings, if you are the owners saying you’ll back him, how can they back him and also say no. A shambles right down to Harrison coming back and then the last two signings from the previous window Schmidt and Largie not being needed. Then we have Bamford who needed paying off and allowing Wober and others to go out on the cheap.

If it’s down to Farke and it fails he’ll be out soon enough, if it’s down to the recruitment team and it fails I’d expect them to receive their marching orders

 

Hold on, didn’t the ITK guy from WACCOE say Buanotte was a done deal?? Was the flight hitch that after taking off from the south coast it couldn’t cross Chelsea??

He did give it the bullseye and was the first to say its gone to **** too. I guess a lot can change, but Smyth rolling out the rescheduling of the flight was obviously bollocks and things had changed

He was at least 5 hours ahead breaking both bits of news and has enough in the bank regarding all the signings this year bar our first one

 

I think when you look at who comes in you can often have a stab at who has the biggest say.

With Marsch we signed a few guys he’d worked with previously. Though strangely aaronson was apparently coming anyway. It was pretty clear we had Marsch led signings and orta led ones.

With Farke it’s less clear cut - we don’t have a DOF… but as he’s German and came to us from gladbach I think we can say he likely led the interest in the Bundesliga signings.

As for the rest of them. Who knows? He’s declared himself satisfied with defence/midfield but pointed the finger at the lack of attacking signings.

Seems most likely options were presented to him as and he approved them. But you have to consider what that means. If you’re given the choice between DCL or nothing, you’re gonna say DCL. Maybe.

slow start then pace picks up and before long we have new CBs, new LB, freebie CF, 3 new midfielders. Slow for a bit and then a new keeper, then a freebie CF and then a new LW. Still plenty of time though but zero happens and still nothing happening and then yet another forward goes elsewhere then according to reports we go back months and go for Hamer, try again for BEK. Dogs breakfast but so far we are pointedly worse off in forwards than we should be

 

Wolves have signed Tolu Arokodare. Thats a striker i would have taken a punt on. If he adjusts to the PL he will be a proper handful.

West Ham have signed Mateus Fernandes from Southampton. Very good midfielder.

Brentford splashed out on a striker I know little about.

 

But…… you’ve spent the last two years slamming Farke because anyone could get this side promoted and he failed not doing it first time, how does that work?

We were always going to be linked to every man and his dog with transfers but until they are over the line, that's all they are, rumours. Sometimes I feel they were put out there to take the heat off anyone coming in. I wanted us to keep the spine of the team and bring a few gems in but we have gone down the Radz route of getting a quantity of players in. It does worry me that we are going that way altogether, because it feels like we have lost that ambience in the dressing room. We were altogether at the end of the season but it all seems so disjointed now along with the ballots for away tickets. In their quest to get new fans in, they seem to have forgotten that it is our loyal fans who are there through thick and thin and should be nurtured not kicked in the teeth. It has all the signs of turning toxic very quickly so I only hope tomorrow goes our way as it is too soon to make hasty judgements however bad it may look.
