I’ll say it again. They are a big club - fans and money etc but they are very badly run. Howe and their players are getting them out of a whole lot of ****.

This excerpt from The Athletic might throw some light on it

The view inside Newcastle is that they have finally gone head-to-head with an elite club and won. Bayern wanted Woltemade, admittedly not at the price point being paid, but he is Tyneside-bound, not Munich-bound, and Newcastle believe the striker is enthused to be joining.

Seems like a great club to be at …

… Rigg would’ve had plenty of choices.

Yeah Munich were interested in him but for nowhere near the fee that the scum are paying they’ve looked at that fee and went nah. No thanks. Good player but worth half that at present. Imo

When he scores his first goal, the commentary team will spout the usual scripted ****e such as ,he'll join the list of "a new Hero", it'll be "Alexander who", he'll become an "adopted Geordie" because they "love a goal scorer up here" blah blah blah.

Think Xavi Simons made the right choice in spurs, good player and will be getting plenty of time to shine there rather than chelsea

I know you may be joking but quite a common misconception is that injured players wont pass a medical, the medical is more of a risk assessment across the length of the contract not at the time of signing eg. will this player be able to contribute across the length of contract - some tests just may not be able to fully conducted so will use other previous medical assessments to determine whether or not the thing they were trying to test is a risk for this player or not

It's funny how life pans out.Ive been told this by someone that genuinely knows the family.Riggs Dad is a Mag through and through. But he decided that what was best for his Son was to go to Sunderland despite offers from Newcastle and Boro,as a little lad because he knew that Sunderland was his Sons best option to make it. Despite Chris being a Newcastle fan he's Dad kept on telling him that Sunderland was he's best option because he believed Sunderland being in Leauge one and championship his Son would get more game time rather than just sat somewhere in the Newcastle set up especially with the "takeover". His Dads persistence and foresight means he now stands in a photograph as his son signs a premier league contract at Sunderland. Congratulations to them.... especially his Mam.... who's a Lads fan.
