Our resolve is gonna be tested without doubt, clubs know our position, so we are an easy target, but we've seen when we don't have Hughes how weak our defence is, Pandur started off nervy and prone to mistakes, but as he has settled, he has improved immeasurably. Lose either we will struggle, lose both were fkd. If the deals are sanctioned I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Serj walk, this ain't the gig he signed up for and to date the club have done well with what they've brought in to support him given the circumstances we find ourselves, but this really would be a bitter blow. What I could realistically see happening is getting through to January with both players, seeing where we are in the league, and if we are comfortable letting them go to the highest bidder.

I’m not sure that they will be prepared to pay what we would want to let Hughes go and I think that figure may increase if we get an acceptable offer for Pandur.

Yep it’s an absolute travesty that local businesses will have to close just so Acun can waste a load of money to buy loads of **** Turkish players. But the flock of sheep our fan base is has well and truly had the wool pulled over their eyes so they won’t see it.

He won’t give a **** about what the fan base thinks, his only priority is to get his investors an ROI. That means profiting on saleable assets.

Replacing Pandur and Hughes without spending money will be difficult. If Pandur goes, I could see a club loaning us a keeper - maybe one of Acun’s mates has one available.
Replacing Hughes with a dependable, experienced and fit centre half is more challenging.
if one goes , then the fee should balance the books a bit and give us a bit more cash flow - Sky money is due soon as well.
If both leave then the finances look more dire.
Hopefully the EFL compliance and oversight team will be on their game and making sure we are financially stable for the current season… you would hope.
Hughes is a young 21 year old lad from the north, settled here amongst best friends, why would he want to uproot and move to the midlands now to a team in the same division, surely he'd be better staying for a year then taking a bigger move straight to a premier league club?
