No thanks. Consistent is his main thing. As in consistency in not scoring any goals.
He’d have been a Spurs player if it wasn’t for his wife.Which players were proud and excited to play for us after relegation? Even Le Tissier only says he hopes he'd have given us a year if we'd been relegated when he was here.

True. I've seen him say that before. He’d have been a Spurs player if it wasn’t for his wife.
(watch the latest early doors show)
Really hope they don’t let him go unless they are 100% replacing him. I’m not sure Arma can be depended upon for the foreseeable unless his back problem is not as bad as it seems. So I assume we still have Edozie, Diaz, Smallbone and Aribo going out the door. Not sure if any others at this stage.
I wonder if one of the central defenders is not also due to go.
And then whether there is space in the squad for any more incomings. Or if there will be no more incomings unless there are more outgoings
For example - if the PSV interest in Archer materialises we would probably be short at central striker. But the club might not think so as they’d say we have 3 in Armstrong, Stewart and Downs
You could possibly look at another midfielder if Smallbone and Aribo both leave but I think we may be okay having Charles, Downes and Jander competing to start with Sesay as an option and Edwards (or Stephens?) able to fill in if absolutely necessary. EDIT: I forgot Matsuki. He can play there too or possibly further forward. So I assume we still have Edozie, Diaz, Smallbone and Aribo going out the door. Not sure if any others at this stage.

So we've turned Dibling and Fernandes into Azaz, Fellows, Jander and Scienza. I deem that acceptable.![]()

Have to hand it to the club, they've handled the comms side of today very well. If there are medicals happening today I wonder if they held back on leaking some of that news so they could bury the bad news of the Fernandes departure under a pile of incoming players. So we've turned Dibling and Fernandes into Azaz, Fellows, Jander and Scienza. MELTDOWN TIME!!!
Or time to remember we’re not a big club.
The whole 50m thing is just negotiating. If we’re happy at 40m we don’t tell West Ham that, or they only go half way to 40 instead of half way to 50 to get a deal.
Fernandes is a good player BUT could you really say in the 3 games so far in the Champ he’s stood out above everyone else and was clearly too good for the league?
And finally, however good he is, he doesn’t actually fit Will Still’s system very well. (Similar issue to Bruno Fernandes at Man Utd).
The news is brilliant news for anyone wanting ammunition to bash SR with but I think with a step back it actually makes lots of sense (providing we re invest well)
