They want to sell Nunez and buy players like Jurasek, Diallo and give Stacy a bloody expensive contract.

Do you have any idea whats going on in the real world ? Nunez has 10 months left on his contract, he won't sign a new one. The club didn't want him to go and money wasn't the issue. If he doesn't want to be here he's hardly going to perform well and his attitude certainly won't help team dynamics. He wants to go and 10 million is a great price in the circumstances. The only downer is he's going to Ipswich. Do we really turn down 10 million and keep him for 10 months when he doesn't want to be here only to let him go for nothing ? Clearly Manning decision to play Wright over Nunez had nothing to do with who he thought was the better player, but if your happy deluding yourself C'est la vie.

Would we like to keep Nunez? Yes.
Does he want to stay? No, 2+ contract rejections prove that.
Are we getting a decent price for him? Yes, based on injuries and final year of contract.

I think the reason it's on this thread is because some posters irrationally think this is all because Manning thinks Wright is a better player than Nunez, hence why Nunez doesn't want to stay. Apparently it's down to poor judgement by Manning ! Personally, I would have been more than happy to keep Nunez is he'd shown commitment to the cause by signing a new contract, but if he wants to go so be it. At present I would play Nunez over Wright, but for me going forward I believe Wright has the potential to be a better player. Interestingly it seems the same posters who are so keen on playing our younger developing players, don't seem to apply that philosophy to Wright.
If i were in charge it would have been my number 1 target. Not signing however many players

But as far as I'm aware you do not have the knowledge or the experience of Manning / Knapper to be in charge. You are basing everything you say on limited information and emotion. The club clearly has a plan, it might not be a plan you agree with, but to suggest there is no plan is just nonsense. I'm not saying that I agree with everything the club says or does. Most of the time I don't have sufficient knowledge to judge their decisions. The club / Attanasio may be making mistakes in how the money is being spent, but at the end of the day it's their money. I see no evidence of funds being mismanaged, just the club chartering a course some fans are vermently against.
Its about signing players for the system that we are using, Topic, Mattsson, Wright and Mclean fit the bill for this. The midfield 2 I believe are predominantly box to box midfielders, strong at intercepting and pressing and then able to release a quick pass to the front line or wing backs, or drive forward with the ball. Nunez is of course capable of the above but so is Mattsson. Creativity is tasked more to our wing backs and 2 attacking midfielder/number 10s. You may not agree with the system but that is what the players are being used for.
Topic and Mattsson would be a similar makeup to Knight and Bird who are being linked with Premier League moves
I'd be suprised if either of those are going to Premier League clubs.
Wing backs are mechanical options, I do not consider them creators.
Mattsson looks a distinctively average player. There is nothing in his highlights reel that looks interesting. He's another Topic long ball over the top merchant but i suspect not as good.I'm just not interested in these types of players, one is plenty enough.
I don't see a midfield of Topic, Wright, Mattsson doing anything but alot of nothing.

We had an initial investment in new manager and youth with this being the narrative. This was scrapped before the season end.
We had a massive spend on Crnac who has not progressed.
A massive investment in an unproven player from a poor league who had barely played any football for two years.
Those 2 cost 13 million. One has barely done anything note the other can barely play 45 minutes.
None of the signings from that 1st year have done anything close to their fees despite what must have been a near 20 million spend
Thorup was royally stitched up having to work with 20, 21, 19 year old defenders. He carried the can for Knappers failings.
So we had one plan cut short.
This new plan goes in completely the opposite direction. Direct and Pragmatic. Its incompetence as the players bought for one idea now need to suit another quite different idea.
We have now proceeded to spend another 25 million on a different set of attributes plus biggish wages on Stacey and Schlupp.
And with the exception of Darling, we are still waiting for any other signing from Knapper to actually look anything more than average (the majority have been below this).
45 million spent and we have one genuine hit.....and he was free and more to for with Manning I expect than Knapper.
It is a gross mismanagement of funds. You have 5 out of 8 signings a hit you've done well.
Knapper is 1 out of about 15 so far.
Everything good about NCFC was here before he came. Its gradually whittling down to just Josh Sargent. If he goes then we are a relegation candidate tbh.
