I think you will find that it was Blair, during our membership of the European Union, who threw open our borders and welcomed the Romanians et all on their accession to the Union.
Don’t say that man, you are wasting your time.
They won’t believe you anyway.
I would er towards Viv9, they are Facists.

This debate epitomises what is wrong with politics both in the UK and globally. Polarisation has destroyed us and unless people realise that, we are doomed.
Neither reform or any of the left wing parties care about working people in this country. They just want to push their ideologies, most of which are based on self indulgent notions of being right or morally superior.
What we need is a strong centrist party that will make people on both sides face the truths that they are unwilling to accept.
Have you ever saw one person on here say they are voting Reform?
I honestly haven’t, but I would prefer voting Reform than taking any notice of these fruit loops.

Given the absolute mess the Tories made in overseeing record immigration and the use of hotels to house them for them now to encourage their councils to take the present government to court is hypocrisy of the highest highest order. They should be laughed out of any power they still have.

That said siding with Reform on this matter (to steal a phrase) demonstrates the Tories and reform are cheeks of the same arse. Working class people need to wake up before it’s too late and we loose our NHS to Nige’s US mates.
You can tell reading people’s comments most Reform voters don’t understand their policies and won’t even read them. They just let the bots tell them what to do. Reform have been asking youth advisers to help advise them on how to get the youth vote but openly saying their policies won’t benefit young people. They’re are treating people like idiots. It’s time people started thinking things through or they are idiots.

On this thread today. Ron he says he doesn’t like 90% of their policies but doesn’t like 95% of others but what’s clear is it’s hatred of immigrants and the EU and he couldn’t name the others.

I’d argue we need more values in politics, not less

Considering he died from a heart attack through worry I would say yes
I mean it’s awful that this happened. But this person had the solution to their stress right there. It’s not the EUs fault (not that this would have been their fault anyway - it was UKG policy). The martyrdom part of being a metric martyr is personal choice.

whatever I say won’t change your mind but I choose to listen to experts and certainly when it comes to Brexit they have been right and Farage and his billionaire non dom backers completely wrong.

Given the clusterfk Brexit has made of our country I can only assume the daft or gullible would follow these people, even more so if you are working class as you are voting against your better interests.

I fully get the immigration argument and possibly share some of your views however it needs to be addressed but not by racism and hatred and not by people who are the major cause of it in the first place.
Fair enough, you believe in certain people and policies and stick by them it seems from one party, I believe different parties have certain policies I agree with but I’m not a rosette individual I used to be years ago (labour) and I certainly wouldn’t belittle, insult and pigeon hole people with a different view,as what you and your ilk always seem to do

Well I wouldn’t trust the EU (especially the French) with anything.
They’ve been stitching up the U.K. for years, and Labour are sleepwalking into closer ties with them.
We are a sovereign country now that we’ve left the corrupt EU, so we need our Govt to have appropriate laws to stop the boats, instead of encouraging the opposite.
Unless Labour or one of the others come up with something better than what Reform are suggesting, I know where we my vote will be going in 2029.

With any luck. Far too many people have an expert opinion on American healthcare based on what they’ve read on a Facebook post. Their healthcare system is leagues ahead of ours. And because of their lower income tax rates and insurance policies it just wouldn’t work here without massive changes to those things, unfortunately. That won’t happen:
I’m not sure it’s better but I do know it causes massive issues for those who aren’t wealthy. Someone here need to think on, particularly the older Reform supporters.

Couldn’t agree more mate. As I have said countless times on here working class people need to be very careful supporting Reform…voting against your better interests.

I love the city of Sunderland and the fantastic Labour led regeneration that is taking place. I really hope residents next year don’t chuck all that away for Farage.

I think you need to reword that <ok><ok>

Treating people like idiots seems to be evident for all parties.

You just don’t accept a job unless you get decent healthcare with it, you don’t need to be wealthy. It’s a total myth. Obviously you hear of some cases where individuals don’t have healthcare and get charged a fortune but as it stands how many folk are paying national insurance for a service most of us of working age don’t get any use out of? Appointments pushed back months if not beyond a year, GP’s fully booked within a few minutes of opening, people sitting in A&E for up to 24 hours. Not to mention the substandard healthcare so many are receiving when they do actually receive it. The system is broken and throwing money at it isn’t working
