I’d rather give them the opportunity to improve in the senior environment. I feel we are building a squad capable of helping them through it. A season like this is the perfect time wouldn’t you say? They get 10/15 apps under their belt and then potentially ready to take the mast from Charlie in 12 months

I can see the merit in what you're saying, but I'm not sure you risk them in key positions until they've had a bit of championship experience say as a second no6 or 3rd centre half.

And there's a difference between gaining experience and being relied upon.

But being a 5th choice centre half is surely exactly what you describe? We can't have 5 senior CBs and also expect our young CBs to gain experience.

We're definitely light in midfield. I'd actually like us to bring in a defensive midfielder and maybe loan a young attacking mid from a prem club. Also agree with the centre back situation.. if our 2 new CB's are going to be injured throughout the season it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more cover there if the EFL allows.

Selling players now, considering our options for recruiting will be limited all season, doesn't make very much sense to me. First priority is survival, and if a reasonable result is achieved there could be a sale of the club. That could entail yet another restart.

Cooper is available.

Sure I just heard SJ on RH say Kamara has gone to Getafe on loan. I suspect that allows us to bring in the Bosnian number 6. We clearly need one having conceded 5 in our last 2 games.

Reactions: Gone For A Walk
I hope this was not why he was missing today

Just listened to the post match interview with Serj, he has said Hughes was one affected by the virus and unfit, albeit he was improved today and was expecting him back for Monday training, conformed Kamara has gone to Getafe on loan, wouldn't be pushed on incoming but did say its down to the EFL, did say Coyle and Destan might be available for next week too. Acknowledged he needed more but put the lack of energy of the performance down to the virus thats swept through the camp. I ha e no reason to disbelieve him as he has been pretty open with most things to date.
