So no backrest? I suppose if you intending on standing for the full game you don’t need a back rest!! Did it make any difference to the noise / atmosphere in that area
Cov had backrests but I don't think they'd have stopped someone banging their head if they leant backwards vigorously.
There were a group of 7 or 8 in North Stand who although they were in the safe standing area remained seated all game. Why didn’t they buy seats elsewhere?
Why would you be sitting down in a safe standing area? In Germany you don’t get the chance, the seats are locked for league games only being unlocked for European games and internationals.
I accept he may not have settled here - would he do so at Getafe? - but I'm not sure we can say he isn't a SJ type of player with any certainty yet. If possible I'd like him to remain - even if just as a squad player, but I think the club's financial position has to come into the equation. Our finances clearly aren't as sound as they should be - or we wouldn't have restrictions upon us (although HT2 said this situation was slowly improving a few weeks ago, and if that is the case it is to be applauded) - so IF a club is offering £3M for Kamara, I understand why would seriously consider it. Despite good performances on the pitch, we shouldn't forget that things still need to be put right off it.
I get the feeling Kamara is just an introvert character, even when he scores he does get emotional like many players. Probably just how he is, his style is rather laid back.
As a few others have mentioned, loved the tactic of the deep midfielder (Lundstram or Crooks on Sunday) dropping into centre defence and the two wingers inverting to allow the fullbacks to push up and create the option for those excellent long diagonal passes. Worked a treat first half, so much so that Rowett had to change his formation and system to try and nullify it but good that we still found other ways to break through and create chances, not least for the winner.
I think it's a big mistake letting Kamara go, he'll end up worth far more than the £3-4m we're apparently selling him for. If we need the money, that's one thing, but if we're only getting rid of him because we think we can just replace him with Akintola on a free, I predict a disappointment.
I liked the look of Akintola to be fair, though he's a different type of player to Kamara. Very direct by the looks of it - which may lend itself more towards how Jakirovic wants to play potentially. That being said, perhaps that's also how Kamara would prefer to play and we've just not been playing that way until very recently... I'd prefer we kept Kamara personally but then if we need to sell someone...
