I wouldnt be quick to write off Arsenal. There was some elite defending in the final 20 mins and Utd will score loads this season imo. More than 1 way to win a game and that is 3 points they dont always get. If those two CBs stay fit I predict they win it by 5 points at least.

Agree

Opening day win away at Manchester United is a very good result. Clean sheet too

They should make it 2/2 next week at home to Leeds.

I have literally no idea why Mainoo isnt played in there. Non at all. You can normally understand a coaches decision even if you dont agree with but Mainoo behind Ugarte is just incomprehensible.

Lets give them £20m and end his bloody misery <laugh>

Impossible to justify. Ugarte is poor, and even looks a timid type which is almost unheard of in any South American never mind a Uruguayan.

Casemiro is long past his best. You can only assume they want to cash in on Mainoo. Some club will hit the jackpot with that lad

Think City win it personally. Love Reijnders and I just think they've recruited well in general. They look a lot younger and sharper.

Maybe, but personally I don't see them scoring the goals. Third for me.

No chance imo. Their game is so limited - far more limited than their talent levels should yield. They can’t George Graham their way to a title these days. They’ll need more than that.

Sturridge gets a lot of stick but I actually think his analysis is great. His stuff on strikers is so insightful.

Do I take it we all want Leeds to be thrashed tonight ...

... on the basis that Everton may struggle but won't go down.

I keep seeing Leeds fans suggesting it's better for both teams if they and Sunderland 'pull together'.

I've honestly no idea what they're talking about tbh.

Unless two of the 'relegation candidates' are playing each other, in which case I want draws, I'd want them to lose.

Leeds, Burnley, Brentford and Wolves, all losing on the first weekend gives us a boost imo.

I think we need Leeds to win, on the basis we need them to pick up points.

We could finish above Everton I think they really poor even with the little flurry of business they’ve done.

I fancy Leeds pinch that game.

If Leeds and Burnley lose too many games, we will be under threat of being Ipswich, who were competitive but had no help as everyone was taking 4-6 off bottom 2.

The more points Leeds and Burnley get, the less we will need. Not unrealistic to think we might not care given the o going recruitment and improvement but as it stands 17th remains the objective.

17th and the FA Cup.
