Really need 6 points from the next 2 games because what follows will be a difficult run where points will be difficult to pick up. If we win 3 on the bounce the lads will have confidence going into those games and we’ll have picked up the points from games we should be targeting. A couple of draws from the 4 following fixtures against Palace, Villa, Forest and United would be a bonus. Then target Wolves and Everton at home as winnable games.
This is potentially best for us he won’t play if they don’t sell him he’ll be fuming and it weakens the mags
Nearly 29. A year left on his deal. A perfect Dumb Mags signing. It'll be their compensation when they sell Isak near to the deadline.
I thought that after the first half, West Ham had half chances to score but mainly we kept them at arms length, much like we did to teams last season. Half time Reggie tweeked it and we controlled the game more and got our rewards
Private jet in from Paris later. Last time that happened Mukiele was on board. Could it be the mysterious other close signing?
We've definitely got a huge opportunity, but 2 points from the next 2 wouldn't be a huge shock to me. Burnley were much better against Spurs than their result suggested. They created plenty of opportunities. I'm certain there'll be no complacency from the players or RLB. We won't be taking the Burnley game for granted.
I pointed out the keeper was at fault, and I still maintain that. That does not equate to an diminshment of Isidor and the goal though. When strikers repeatedly score similar goals like that one it is usually thanks to hours and hours of solo practice. He strikes it cleanly everytime and finds the corner everytime. It is skill executed brilliantly. On this occassion I think had Roefs or Patto let that in we would be calling them out. He has the goal well covered but he seems to dive too long and then has to somehow try a scoop motion which has a bit of an odd look. I think 9/10 prem level keepers save that one personally. But again, Isidor has done everything right in that situation. Overall that keeper looked a bit all at sea. I think he should be better placed for Mayenda header and he maybe then saves it. Again Mayenda does everything right though. Overall, having had chance to watch highlights a couple of times. It was a case of a good side beating an average one on Saturday for me. Average keeper or not we very much deserved the win and scoreline.
I think to save Mayenda one it takes an absolute world class save. The balls come in and he’s rightly moved to cover the wider goal, it’s right back into the corner netting with an awkward line of travel. I think that’s incredibly difficult to save.
