Lundstram played a long pass in the first half which if Steven Gerrard had played , they would have extended the half time analysis to repeat it 200 times . I personally think that’s the slight issue with palmer, he has a pass in him but he plays the same pass over and over and the defence read it after the 3rd one, great winning goal , that 1/2 second pause he takes to let the ball bounce is the difference , so many of our recent strikers would have wildly swung at it and shinned it at the keeper .

Can someone explain to me how table positions are determined based on this?

"The teams are ranked in the league table by points gained, then goal difference, then goals scored, and then their head-to-head record for that season (including away goals record). If two or more teams finish the season equal in all these respects, then teams are separated by alphabetical order, unless a promotion, relegation, or play-off place (see below) is at stake, when the teams are separated by a play-off game"

We haven't played the other teams that are level on points with us yet this season!

Should have been home and hosed after 10mins...Gifted them a couple, but easily the better side...If we're relegation certs Oxford will get relegated straight to the National League. They were dire. But feck'em. Good three points for us. We'll, of course, get stiffer tests and need to tighten up at the back but going forward we have some talent up there. Optimistic for at least top 10 place by Chrimbo.

Really enjoyed that. Even if it had ended 2-2 I would have said the same. Good football from City throughout, looking to attack all game. Mcburnie's winner was the icing on the cake. Who was that left back and what has he done with Ryan Giles? <laugh>. Bring in a proper number 6 and we'll give anyone in this league a game

I can’t remember Drameh going down at all - my recollection is he did a Coyle-style shot block with his face and the ref made him go off. If he sent him to the bench to get a concussion check I could just about get on board with it, but he sent him to East stand touch line. Seems utterly pointless.

Exactly, it's a fkn ridiculous rule if they just send them to the touchline and the opposite touchline to the physio only to bring them on 2 minutes later without having been checked.

Tosser in front was berating Giles constantly, before declaring he can't ****ing stand him. I couldn't last season either tbf but he's back now and much improved. Back him. Don't understand some people.

Preseason and first 2 competitive games i was impressed by Lundsram but thought he always did one really sloppy pass each half ghat could of cost us but I didn't notice that today he seemed to concentrate for every second and while not in my top 3 for MOM I can understand why he is for many. Great performance

Just a thought re the league positions, is it anything to do with the fact we have only scored in one of the two games where as the other teams have scored in both ?

Picking three for the MotM thread was difficult......Lundstrum could have easily been in mine. He is excellent and some Blunts are saying he's $hite....No way, Jose. Giles got, numero Uno, for me, because of his fist pumping at f/t. There's a togetherness there...Yes, Oxford are garbage, but you can only beat what's in front of you.

I don’t think they were dire bit unfair, they come and played a decent game and tried to get something from the game.

Even some of their fans in the pub after the game were adamant they were dire....Bloke said that all of the City subs would get in their 1st team. I took that with a pinch of salt, but I didn't argue with him.
