Two things. Dan Neil could do with taking a long, hard look at Luke O'Nien. That's what it means to represent Sunderland. And Isak won't be joining LFC before the Horse-punchers play the Dippers - imagine the uproar when he makes his debut against them and scores a hat-trick.
Be nice to have an actual interest in these games won’t it. Think Bournemouths manager is very good so don’t think they’ll be in trouble but the more the merrier so hopefully Liverpool get the win. Not sure if Bournemouth have replace that whole defence yet or not. Brutal what’s happened to them but got a hell of a lot of money from it.
Not sure I agree with that. Dan is a gifted player with teams in Europe interested, where as 09 is at a push a Premier League 4th or 5th choice CB.
They won’t be anywhere near the bottom with Iraola mate. May start slowly but they have so many good players. Diakite is as good as either they sold (without the ceiling Huijsen has) right now. Senesi is solid and there’s a left foot right foot pair. They’ve retained Scott, Semenyo, Kluivert, Siniestera etc and added a very good keeper plus Traore and Truffert. They’ve remain a top 12 team at least. Not one of our battles.
I don't think we know what either player are as neither of them have played in the premier league yet What I do know is that the club think both o9 and Neil could make the step up and become premier league players. I reckon the club know more than any of us
Not really, the only ones not given a number are those we absolutely want to leave or who, they themselves, want the leave. There’s a dozen squad numbers that might not be here next season and a fair few could leave permanently ( Browne, Neil, Cirkin, Triantis, Blondy for starters).
It's scary when you look at teams like that. You start looking around and seeing the depth of Premier League talent and experience even in squads like Bournemouth, Brentford and Wolves and you realise that it's going to be a big ask to stay up even after our investment. I'll be thrilled with 17th right now.
So true mate. That said, we also have to remember that they, Forest, Brentford etc haven’t long been in the PL. It’s all about this season. We survive and we can attract better players than any of those and then add Brighton maybe Palace (as well as Burnley) For us and Leeds survive is all that matters and as soon as we achieved it there’s so many teams we can fly past with good investment because people will want to play for us and Leeds over many in PL if we are growing and ambitious. We’ve gone a bit down the Forest route but it’s been more measured. They in Europe this season and we’re in CL hunt at match day 36. It’s a myth the gap can’t be bridged.
