I didn't say anything the other day, but I generally keep an eye on the non league games and Leicester City U21's were playing at Braintree, in the National League Cup, surprised BWood didn't mention it actually, and Braintree Town won 2-0 - so I guess these Leicester youngsters are not as good as we are led to believe lol..while Fulham U21's were hammering Sutton 0-7.

Leicester were in the top half of the premier league for the average age of their team. There’s nothing young about them.

I could say we had the youngest team to ever be promoted and also win at Wembley, but I won’t go there <whistle>

All about Leicester City ... it brings a tear to my eye ... might just have to watch Andrea Bocelli at the KP again ...

Everton and Sunderland fans ... you might have to go back as far as Mario Lanza <whistle>

Global Standing

  • According to the CIES (2013–2018), Sunderland ranked 38th globally for average attendance (~39,249), outpacing renowned clubs like Juventus and FC Porto in that timeframe

Sit down, Fosse. Your poxy club has no right to even debate with a club like ours.

Exactly. League champions is the clincher. Doesn’t matter when we won them, it’s all relevant. Leicester’s will be ancient in the future but it will still count and be relevant to their wee history.

Yeah but I'll still remember it as I shed this mortal coil ... some poor ****ers will die thinking ... "... well at least we sold nice pies"... <laugh>

You make it sound like you had kids out when you keep saying you started with ‘academy’

You only played one teenager and Huddersfield played with three. The proper yoof were triumphant tonight.

Probably a good quiz question but who’s the oldest ‘academy lad’ in the Prem now? No Giggs/Terry/Our Trent types about unless I’ve forgotten someone. United probably still have someone knocking about.

scrape the barrel much? Hitler had just come to power when you won your last one.
