Is it too late to sign him? We only have him on loan, this is a genuine question as I don't know what the process would be as he's still a Leeds player.

We couldn't afford to sign him, since Leeds got promoted, his wages doubled and he's allegedly on £60k a week for the next two years (though obviously it will drop back down when they get relegated next summer).

I guess if he has a good season here and say gets 10+ goals, Leeds might think he is worth another go in their team as its 99% certain they will be back in the Championship. Would like to think we have some sort of option for next summer.

I’d say we sign him on a permanent in either January or next summer depending on the outcome of the efl thingy. He has gone on record of how much he loves it at the mighty tigers so I cannot see him wanting to leave for Middlesbrough but you never know…..

Nixon has some story about McBurnie turning down big money offers, so maybe we didn’t pay “over the odds” after all, with the proviso this is Nixon so it may well be bollocks (I am not paying for his ****ty Patreon to find out).

He's wrong all the time but seems to have been reasonably on the money in terms of McBurnie signing, having his medical etc.

Could be one of the few he's close to?

If Williams comes in as expected does anybody else feel kind of sorry for Giles?
He had a great game yesterday and got lots of MOM votes, looks like he's tried really hard to turn his City career around.
I know competition for places in the starting 11 is a good thing and might keep him on his toes. It's all just a thought

It's great to have a versatile fullback cover. The one that's fallen down the pecking order is Coyle. Hughes might end up being captain in the majority of games this season.

A thought on Williams. Given that in an alternative universe, he's getting into a Premier League team as first choice, I wonder if there's another role for him in the Championship, say defensive midfield?

I think it’s healthy, but maybe the Jak2 has seen an opportunity to play him as a defensive midfielder? Don’t shoot me down, I’m just thinking out the box.

Famine to feast in full back positions.
That said, if we're serious about building a squad capable of challenging for promotion then this is exactly the quality of depth we need.
