Can't remember the last time I bought a Liverpool top tbh. I don't wear them other than when I play footy myself. The last two I've had were both bought for me
What now for Isak? PIF have stated he will not be sold this window. Apparently, Isak is furious and has refused to sign a new contract with Newcastle. This will not end well for Newcastle or for Isak. I expect a torrid reception at Newcastle for us in our upcoming fixture
Isn’t this just coming from Luke Edwards who apparently claimed Trafford was going to Newcastle about 10 minutes before he signed for City? Would take it all with pinch of salt. All the talk atm is about Howe saying he can’t integrate him back into training etc. that sounds to me like he’s going and Newcastle don’t want him to pick up any recent tactical info that could pass onto LFC before game 2 of the season.
It seems to have been picked up by several sources but you may be correct, I would rather have a centre back at the moment to be honest
Good. Let them swing on it. All they are doing is turning a 12mil deal into a 100mil deal in January. I'd rather a wide forward
I'm waiting for the green kit. Did see a £30 copy on E-bay last month and dithered about getting it in case the official one is different. All gone now.
Quote Craig Hope @CraigHope_DM Eddie Howe on reports Alexander Isak has been told by club he is staying ️ "No, that’s not something I'm aware of. I’m not party to all discussions, but I have no knowledge of that" ❓ Says all outcomes possible & adds: "I want players who really want to play for this club"
Everything Howe says seem to push the transfer more and more towards happening. Think there won’t be any movement until Newcastle actually sign a striker though, if and when they do get one through I’d expect you’ll then see an LFC bid. Either way don’t expect Isak to play any football until after the international break.
Either way it looks like completely self harm so we should get about our own business and focus on getting our squad right. 1.alisson 2. marmadashvilli 3. Robertson 4. Kerkez 5. Vvd 6. Konate 7. Gravenberch 8. Endo 9. Macallister 10. Szoboszlai 11. Wirtz 12. Salah 13. Gakpo 14. Ekitike 15. Chiesa 16. Ngumoha 17. 1. Gomez 2. Jones 3. Bradley 4. 5. Woodman 6. Frimpong 7. 8. B list 1. nyoni Should be told he had to go. Tsimiaks Being sold Elliott. Doak Loans? Danns Koumas Chambers Gordon Bajcetic I make that 3 homegrown slots opened in squad due to sales. It's clear guehi would be an ideal squad fit but we seem totally against paying anywhere near the fee demanded. I see 1.5 foreign slots open as nobody has come near chiesa if we hold one for ngumoha (which is only for Europe btw) then you have room to keep chiesa until January and then move for a real forward option. For me the rest of this window should be aboit getting thr best for Elliott (if he wants to go) and doak and taking that 75mil and getting in the players we need. CB and some forward who can play across the line that way if the isak situation clears itself up you can always move late on. Let's get the game tomorrow done then just sort that cb ASAP.
Yes howe doesn't seem in line with his pay masters on this. Or at least what people who are proporting to know what they have stated are saying. We've twice heard pif will not sell isak. We also head pif would ban clubs from dealing with us so that obviously wasn't true. Howe is the one making grand statements while failing to secure any signatures. Howe is the one putting isak off on his own and removing him.as an option for himself. A 120million asset and thry dont seem in agreement
Not for the prem no. But for the cl he will have to be as he is not at the club long enough. We could put chiesa in the cl squad and let ngumoha be on the bench for the prem. There's now 2 open foriegn slots so that convenient English cb, isak and a wide forward would be cream on the cake
Some outlets saying we'll rival Utd for £100m+ Baleba. 1) Where are Utd getting this money from? 2) No we ****ing won't. I'd like a no6 and a CB before we even think of replacing Diaz on the left wing, but not £100m+ for a guy who's had one good season. Besides which, for that money you'd expect a big lad who could fill in at CB as well. Just no, nay, and nicht fro me.
Good luck to Darwin. Don’t think anyone can dislike him - super frustrating at times but he contributed to the trophies won over the last couple years and always gave his all.
