So you ignore the other 60 odd players that certain can't nor wont play?

There's literally piles of players. Players on top of players for positions

Fake rolexes is an ideal metaphor for the plauers they've signed as most are nowhere near standard and are just loaned out until they are flogged off eventually if someone can.be found

Hmm, that's not how I understand it. They said the figures represent a 700% increase on the launch of the last kit. Are you trying to say that two months of sales were condensed into one week? I'll ask Grok if that's what the figures represent, but that doesn't appear to be what Pearce is saying. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Liverpool FC's reported 700% increase in shirt sales for the 2025/26 season compared to the previous year is primarily driven by the unprecedented demand for their new Adidas-designed kits, rather than solely a difference in launch timing. The 2025/26 home kit, launched in late July 2025, has seen record-breaking sales in the first week alone, surpassing the total sales of the 2024/25 Nike kit at its launch. Key points supporting this:
    • Launch Timing Context: The 2024/25 Nike kit was launched on May 2, 2024, giving it a longer sales period by August 2024 compared to the 2025/26 Adidas kit, which launched around July 29, 2025. Despite this, the Adidas kit has outperformed the Nike kit's launch by over 700%, with more home and away shirts sold in the past week than at any other time in the club’s history.
    • Global Demand and Partnership Impact: The surge is attributed to the new 10-year partnership with Adidas, which has generated significant excitement. Orders have come from 150 countries, with 80% of purchases made online and the refurbished Anfield store experiencing its busiest-ever week post-launch. The kit unveiling also garnered 17 million engagements and 423 million impressions on social media, the highest for any Premier League kit launch for the 2025/26 season.
    • Comparison to Nike's Performance: The 2024/25 Nike kit faced criticism for price increases (e.g., adult shirts up 6.7% to £80, youth jerseys up 9.2% to £60), which may have dampened sales. In contrast, the Adidas kit's appeal, combined with the brand's historical connection to Liverpool, has likely contributed to the massive sales spike.
While the longer sales window for the 2024/25 kit (May to August) could theoretically inflate cumulative sales by August 2024, the 700% figure specifically compares the initial launch periods, where Adidas has seen unprecedented demand. Therefore, the increase is genuine and not merely a result of timing differences. The data suggests that the 2025/26 Adidas kit has significantly outperformed the 2024/25 Nike kit in terms of immediate sales impact.

I see Newkie back in for him, which is for the best, we don't want Wissa, not good enough.

Isak all but out as Howe doesn't want to have in the squad anymore. So Newcastle going back for Wissa, probably in the expectation we'll rebid and they can get Wissa and Jackson to replace.

    Quite right too.
Who would want a player who downed tools every time another team offered him more money.

I wonder if the names Schneiderlin, Rojo, and Berbatov mean anything to posters on here regarding players who 'downed tools' to force through a transfer? :emoticon-0138-think

At the end of the day we have no idea what has been said to the player etc.

None of it is a good look, but all of this started BEFORE any club had even bid for him, so can only imagine some sort of promise has been broken their side.

Who knows, quality player so hope we do sign him but won’t be devastated if it don’t happen either

It seems howe is now saying he wont allow the player to train before the season starts. It was said they would have talks and it appears those talks have happened with isak telling him he still wants to go.

Imo he has two eyes on the home games v lfc and not on what his club needs.

Howe appears to be on a bit of an ego trip.

The issue is newcastle honesty look utterly disinterested in getting rid of him so I'm confident they will keep isak and have a terrible season.

In reality we are seeing them have fairly average season (league cup aside) and the revenues go up by 30 or 40% without Europe.

That tells me they are allowing it to be a sleeper club and will pounce when the time is right. I fully expect them to go spend a fortune when ready and win the league.

Has been very well received online and I think the signing of Wirtz has also increased sales along with a long sleeve version which always go down well with fans.

I think the 3rd kit will also see ridiculous number of sales as well if the leaked versions are real - people love that green

    Well each to their own

It's more about causal wear imo. Tra8ning tops or what have you.

I really really couldn't ever ever pay the price of a replica kit. It was bad a long time ago at 70 odd quid. The price not is nothing short of disgraceful.

They are all the same across the leagues but people pay it so thats their choice.

I actually like some of the training tips they have on sale
more than the actual kits - would probably buy one to wear to play 6 a side in but slightly out off by the huge axa logo across it.
