I am sorry to rant in here but the narrative around LFC really rattles me all I am reading wherever I look is how much we have spent city must be paying someone to keep the press quiet yes we have spent a lot but we have also sold a lot and City spent best part of 300m in Jan didn’t they but know one saying a word about that mental
If you look at this and the last two windows, we’re only 5 or 6 in the spending table so yeah, it’s pure envy. I love it.
Last year's merchandising figure was £120m. Do the maths on a 700% increase (yes, I know it's an initial surge, and that Adidas get 80%, etc, etc, but we're talking at least 100% increase overall here, surely?).
It says Launch, which I would think is the key. So its a 700% increase on the first week(?) of the new kit, compared to last year, rather than the whole of last years merch profits
I think I read that 42,000 Wirtz shirts were sold in the first hour of the launch. The second highest selling name is Jota with revenue going to LFC Foundation to set up a grassroots initiative in his (and André's name).
No not really. We launch the shirts in may normally. People have been waiting for August and there's a lot of big signings and push behind thr Adidas shirts in August so its not surprising all the people who have preodered for mo ths have got their stuff all at once.
Our policy of setting a price and sticking to it will lead to guehi going to Chelsea if he wants that. Its fine by me as anyone willing to join thst mess then get their move in a year or two having done nothing are not the players for us. Most signings chelsea make are thrown aside and flogged off. Its rare one actually plays.
Chelsea have put Jackson up for Sale (too many forwards). Guessing that green lights Newcastle to make a bid. They want £60m+ for him Any chance of us getting Isak probably relies on Newcastle being able to actually sign a striker this summer.
Except its not really that. It's like spending your daddies money on rokexes after he took out a mortgage and then selling your second hand rolexes and finding half them are fake. You are losing money left and right but its ok cos daddy is the one with the debt. But its all fine daddy can remortgage again right?
The bbc praising Chelsea for raising £250m for selling their academy players, but totally ignoring the £1bn+ they’ve spent on transfers https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cd0d2xerz1lo
Except daddy has a credit line running to £755.2m due to be paid back in full by 2027 and its on a 7.5% interest rate. So if daddy can refinance and keep pouring money in for those fake rolexes they can keep on buying.
you said players were signed and didn't play which is clearly wrong for the ones signed for the first team - Palmer , Neto , Caiceda ,Enzo , Cucherella , Lavia when fit etc
