Can’t wait I get on with the Russians whenever I’m away, so no problem on that score. Another country I can hopefully tick off my list one day.
Are you still in France? I’ve just been reading about the wildfires in the South. Looks like they aren’t stopping anytime soon.
Can't say I've heard there are any? Funnily enough when we were heading down the other day, we were chatting about it. Three years ago we were last round here was when they had big issues with it, Bordeaux area. Yeah though, am in France for the next week or so. Currently SW, Atlantic coast.
One dead and thousands evacuated as wildfire spreads in France An elderly woman has died and another person is missing after a massive wildfire swept through parts of southern France, destroying homes and forcing thousands to flee. The woman died in her home, seven firefighters have also been treated for smoke inhalation and one person is still missing, authorities said. Two people are in hospital, one of whom is in a critical condition. The blaze broke out on Tuesday near the village of La Ribaute in the Aude region, and has already burned more than 13,000 hectares (50 sq miles) - an area larger than Paris - making it the largest wildfire in France this year. More than 1,800 firefighters, supported by 500 vehicles, were deployed to the area. The main affected villages are Lagrasse, Fabrezan, Tournissan, Coustouge and Saint-Laurent-de-la-Cabrerisse. Officials say the fire is advancing rapidly, driven by strong winds, dry vegetation and hot summer weather.
That's the Med side, South West also but further East. Didn't know they had fires there tbh. It's dry as **** here as well, but rains a bit more on the Atlantic coast.
Not quite that far down, yet. Heading that way on Sunday I did go in but it was wild, dragged me under a couple of times. Too dangerous for the kids, am at the pool today instead, and going on the river on the SuP after luncheon. Will try the beach again tomorrow.
Sup’n on the river sounds much less drowny tbf And glad to hear you giving the midday munch the correct classification enjoy mate.
