Yeah they should be targeting the big companies. What they’ve actually done, especially with the employer NI rise, is hit the little person who has a small business and very little margin to manoeuvre. The big companies who are making billions aren’t affected by this in the slightest and will make that money back from the consumer who now has to shop with them because their local business who they supported have now gone bust.I will never get promising to not increase taxes, for me surely that was the most sensible thing to do. They sat on the sidelines for 14 years, they knew how bad things were when coming into office, they had plenty of time to work out what was required to fix the economy, if he even was fixable.
I'd say it wasn't, so why we trying to on a wing and a pray.
I still believe they knew about the blackhole, I'm sure they created a second one that was nothing like the figure they told the nation, the OBR even insisted as such. But let's get to the point here, a lot of these problem will not only stem from 14 years of Tory rule, but mainly because of covid with the blackholes.
Why are we trying to fix these holes, put them on the back burner, what is debt, it is what you want it to be and what I'm seeing is it's a way of control and holding the country to ransom. If the banks and lenders don't want to help out, then hit with the wealth tax, and hit hard, instead of constantly screwing over hospitality.
I think the minimum wage rises and Employer NI were bad moves and have destroyed the industry to tipping point. Some in recent months have gone over the edge, costing thousands of job.
I don't blame Labour for the financial hole we are in, but stop using the sticky plasters ffs - interesting actually I noticed Morrisons were finally back in profit, by several billion, about time we started looking a bit closer at these profits...
and what they are doing to bring lower prices to consumers, because from where I'm looking they are creaming the tops of everyone with price fixing.
This is supposed to be the party who supports the working class man and woman. What a load of ****e.
These rich ****ers in Cornwall with big turnovers must be rubbing their hands with glee at the demise of the competition all around them.
