No timeline on returns for McLean or Mahovo

Pity about McLean and Mahovo, but Manning still has a full range of players to choose from. Some have expressed concern about the limited time so far to integrate the new players, but there's no reason Manning couldn't choose a starting lineup most of whom have had that time, as he did on Saturday:

Kovacevic; Medić, Darling, Chrisene; Stacey, Wright, Núñez, Diallo; Crnac, Forson, Sargent

If Diallo isn't ready for a start, he could play Chrisene at WB and Córdoba on the left of the back 3. Crnac, Forson and Sargent worked well together up front and all were involved in the goals. The subs could be chosen from those on the bench Saturday:

Grimshaw, Gibbs, Jurásek, McConville, Schlupp, Schwartau, Kvistgaarden, Córdoba, Fisher

That's pretty impressive and there's still McLean and Mahovo to return and Topić and Makama to join in when fit.

Both Topic and Makama should be fit they’ve been involved in pre-season for their respective clubs.

Season predictions:

Norwich finish 12th. Despite not threatening to achieve automatic promotion, or reach the play-offs, Manning keeps his job, because reasons.....
Ipswich: 8th, contrary to their fans belief of HMS pee-the-league, they won't. Though they'll likely beat us at Protman Road.
Promoted: Leicester, So'ton. WBA via play-offs
Reguated: Owls (<sorry>), Oxford, Stoke

Can laugh at how far out these were in 9 months time :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Worth a thread in itself?

Big boost for Ben Chrisene:

"Norwich City left back Ben Chrisene has been drafted into the England U21 squad for the upcoming international break. The Canaries defender wasn’t initially included in Lee Carsley’s squad for the first Uefa U21 Euro qualifying campaign away to Kazakhstan in Aktobe on Monday, September 8 (4pm BST kick-off), but has been handed a late call-up."
