Not doubting his info, but I’d assume someone else in the media would be running with that story if it were true and a few days ago. I’ve heard nothing re Lucumi for days.

 

Buzzing for the Big Man. His development last season was incredible and it makes sense to both reward him and protect the asset. If he can get anywhere near 10 this season we'll be fighting off some silly offers for him I feel.

 

He did also say he couldn’t verify how reliable that info was so didn’t report it, doesn’t mean it’s not true like but wouldn’t get carried away just yet, the fact it’s rumbled on all summer makes me think there’s a good chance it happens though

 

We needed to make them sweat. Shouldn’t be paying asking price for a 27 year old on an expiring contract. Hopefully they’re becoming more realistic

 

well bologna are actively trying to sign a left sided CB so it seems like it would be a replacement to me

I have a lad messaging who keeps insisting we're seriously considering Calvert-Lewin, he said the same about Xhaka and I ignored him.

He's mates with a football agent, based in Monaco I think and ex-friends with Ken Bates.

He reckons the player wouldn't need a signing on fee and would be a good option for the wages he'd expect.

I really don't like the player but this lad mentioned him while he was an Everton player and claimed Moyes would have him out, on loan, swap deal or whatever.

Could it be that Dyche, Moyes, etc, didn't make the best use of him ...

... I don't like him but he's put a thought in my head now

Just checked up and there’s reports today that Bologna are in advanced talks with West Brom over Torbjorn Heggem. They feel a deal can be struck


This move suddenly hit the media around the time we made our 25 Million bid.


IF, it’s correct regarding Lucumi being agreed last week, maybe they’re just waiting for Heggem (or another replacement) to come in.


I see the optimistic side.

 

From what I’d heard we were interested but well over a month ago now, which lines up with talks sport report of us showing interest previously.

I wonder if we’ve reignited it (which I don’t think we would) or if you friend is being passed older knowledge

I can’t quite make my mind up on DCL, but personally think he’d be a decent option provided the wages make sense. We have options to cover his injury problems but feel that he’d get goals and proven at this level. Can see why we’d be looking in to it.

 

i'd heard the same weeks ago but I think we moved on with Guiu. His wage demands even put Leeds off

 

No it's current tbh although he's been banging on about it for a season or more.

It sounds like this agent is after a commission and willing to punt the player around even if it means a short term deal or even PPV

I wish he'd shut up about him, he keeps putting ideas in my head.

As he was right about Xhaka, when I laughed the idea off, I listen a bit more but he does come out with some corkers.

His latest is that PL clubs are checking out Dan Neil including Brentford which is the 'most serious' but also says Moyes enquired about him before we were promoted.

 

Yeah agent probably is, don't think the club will entertain it though
